I've looked through the repo and it seems to be used to check for the current OpenRazer version and to get a list of supported devices and download images of them from Razer servers.
Razer keyboard are pretty overpriced for what you get IMO, they're better than they used to be but I would honestly consider alternatives first. Still if you're considering Razer, check the compatibility chart before buying! https://polychromatic.app/devices/
This also handles the device settings and open-razer driver, it's more than just RBG control. I use it to set polling rate and DPI, my mouse doesn't have rbg, either.
Anybody know of a program that would let me remap the keys on the razr naga? I’ve been using this to deal with the rgb, but would really like to edit the mouse button mappings (not averse to running a virtual machine to do it, if it’s one off, or maybe in bottles if that works).
I start a windows virtual machine, could not find an alternative for Linux. I did find one for the corsair scimitar but as a mouse it did not last long enough. I'd like to try the Logitech g600 but it's hard to find
Edit: yeah it's one off for switching you don't need to keep it running
