Commentator Candace Owens was suspended from YouTube after an interview with Kanye West where they shared antisemitic tropes.
Who does this even appeal to? It feels like a circus with people just tuning in to watch the freaks. Like if Jerry Springer was hosted by the guests.
My neighbor eats this shit up. She's constantly saying "Candace Owens said...". What's worse is she thinks that because she likes Candace that she can't possibly be a racist. Despite how many times she says racist shit.
I think that's a large part of her appeal. She can be their black friend that's one of the good ones. Then they can actually believe that they aren't racist.
I don't think many black people are listening to her.
