  • Like I said in the news megathread, the West, especially France, needs to act and act fast. What has started in Mali has spread to Burkina Faso, Guinea, and now Niger. They have temporarily delayed the inevitable by installing a neocolonial puppet in Chad, but the next domino to fall is Senegal if the West doesn't do something.

There is also the contradiction between imperialist powers to consider because the West is definitely not united in how urgent they are in preserving Francafrique. The US doesn't care that much, especially if they can broker a deal with the new government to keep their drone base, but for France, it's do or die. Just look at where this planned pipeline goes through. I don't think the US actually wants the coups to happen, but they're more than happy to make lemonade out of lemons at the French's expense. The loss of Francafrique alongside the loss of the Nord Stream pipeline the US scrappy Ukrainian explosive experts blew up means France and the rest of Europe are further dependent on the US, the end result being the complete vassalization and Burgerization of Europe. Just look at how https://privatization.gov.ua/en/ spells "privatization" with a z (since when did Europeans use Yank spelling) or how Ukraine wants to move Christmas to the date celebrated by Americans. This is only the beginning.

As a final note, many of these coupers had been previously trained by AFRICOM. It is not entirely conclusive, but entirely predictable, if these coupers start acting against US interests.
