Played about 5 minutes when a friend invited me and uninstalled, thought it might be interesting if the shooting mechanics were tight but it feels like a port of a console shooter to PC circa 2010. Really disappointing this is what we get from Valve.
Sure, I get that, and if it was the first game from an indie developer that would make sense, but for a game from Valve who have extensive resources, talent and experience it definitely seems like a poor introduction to the game.
Only played maybe 6 games, but so far approaching the game from the right angle seems important - and what I have maybe struggled with. You have to play it like a MOBA, not Team Fortress 3. Farm is absolutely crucial and is also where your aim becomes a deciding factor: you have to get those last hits and denies during the laning phase (including securing the little orbs).
It's not what I first expected , but it's interesting and it definitely has potential. Still very clearly alpha stage though.
I've played a bit (only against bots) and I actually kinda like it. I only ever really played league but that wasn't my thing so I stopped shortly after starting, but MOBA mechanics always intrigued me.
