Did they not see the movie?
- They probably saw it and learned the wrong lesson.
  "We can pull off manipulating precrime to oppress dissent as long as we kept Tom Cruise out!"
- Billionaires and politicians watch and read these stories from the perspective of the antagonist. "Look at the power they are able to wield!"
This can’t go wrong. There’s no way this could possibly be bad. /s
I've seen and used enough "AI" to know this is a horrible, stupid. ridiculous idea that was pushed by idiots wanting to jump on a hype train.
I, for one, am glad that AI is no where near able to implement this ability. That said, I'd be worried if they said they implemented it and used it as a way to target political enemies.
