Not really related, I saw a c-17a globemaster III today over Austin today. Was flying in from DC. Still pretty cool

Plain, simple, 4 fan trash can for me. H model with an eng and a nav, and the square blades because the new ones sound all wrong

Oh yeah the roar of an B-H model has some gravitas to it
That reminds me, I've always wondered why P3 blades had rounded tips and C-130s had square ones.

"The last landing I participated in, we touched down about 150 feet from the end, stopped in 270 feet more, and launched from that position, using what was left of the deck. We still had a couple hundred feet left when we lifted off. Admiral Brown was flabbergasted.
