How stupid. You don’t think criminal organizations won’t be smart enough to just do the illegal math that you’re trying to ban? Looks to me that it’s just monitoring and controlling regular people.
This isn’t much different from banning encryption. You’d have to get seriously draconian to ban the use of numbers in unapproved ways.

Guess I'll be contacting my MEPs, and looking into which MEPs support and oppose this plan.
Though I am glad to see my country at least has stated it finds the proposal unacceptable.This law is so utterly stupid in it's conception, I'm at loss for words.
As if any underground chat in the Darknet built and run for nefarious purposes would give a flying s--t about this.
Additionally, chat monitoring would not apply to accounts used for national security, investigations, or military purposes.
