Judging by their username and a glance through their comments, I'm going to guess that this person has dissociative identity disorder and is using the signature to note which alter made the comment. Yeah why does it always usually feel the other way around (XYZ thing happened 15 years ago?? I thought that was last year!) but for this one I had the same reaction as you, "only 9 years?".
