The portion sizes are smaller, the prices are higher, and they are liars.
It could be the franchise owners getting squeezed like they did with Quiznos. If you have to buy Chipotle ingredients from Chipotle, and they’ve raise d the prices of those ingredients, but you’re not allowed to raise customer prices — it could result in smaller portions without a directive coming from corporate.
- I miss Quiznos. Fuck Chipotle though. They can keep their bland ass food.

How can they even say that? The new quesadilla is literally designed to have less surface area filled with meat / cheese. It also costs double. I'm still mad, and have for the most part stopped going. The OG quesadilla was a banger.
No, you see, portion sizes are the same! It’s just that we now sell only 7/10ths of a portion per item.
- It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grammes a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be REDUCED to twenty grammes a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.
I definitely have less blood in my underwear after eating it these days.
I've been to Chipotle while on visit to the US. The portions should definitely be smaller anyway.
- Yea, from what I remember when I lived there (granted, this was two decades ago) the portions were enormous and could definitely be a lot smaller. Not to mention the size of the soda cups (soda buckets would be more accurate).
- Treat American portions as two meals. you'll save money and still eat plenty.
