Men over 30, what do you keep in your bedside nightstand?

On my nightstand? the usual: lamp, chargers, some decorations and that’s where my wallet and glasses sit at night.

In my nightstand? That has turned into a massive junk drawer of thjngs I have no idea of where to put, but some things of note: passport, travel charger, different currencies from the world, old chargers, nail file and clippers, other watches, a journal I tried to keep 20 years ago.

That reminds me, I should probably go through and clean it out.

Nothing, I don't have one.

• Crushed hopes and dreams
• A small motherless goat
• World peace
• A cardboard chicken McNuggets box from June 1983, including remnants
• 2.73 grams of termite frass

Woman over 30 here. I just keep a bottle of water, and in the summer, an electric infuser that thwarts mosquitos (too many in my area). I make a point to not have phones or alarm clocks by.

A truly unreasonable number of sex toys that built up over the years from previous relationships. My anti-bible "Drunk With Blood".

We have limited closet space. So I don't get a bedside anything except a clothes rack. Tbh...it's fuckin annoying.

I'm a minimalist- no nightstand.

Honest:

• Taco Bell hot sauce packets (may be expired, who knows)
• McDonald's Hot Mustard cups or whatever you call them
• Depleted weed batteries
• Old remotes that I don't even know what they go to
• Random mail from like 2+ years ago
• Sunflower seeds (fresh!)
• Nail clippers
• A couple books I haven't read yet
• Extra socks
• Extra charging cables

On? Glasses, book, wallet and keys, phone, bottle of water, eye mask and a tissue box.

USB multi charger, head scritcher, massage oil, iPad, loads of cables, fitness tracker, book-shaped light, remote for the lights. There's also a little trash bin next to the bed, which is super useful.

Most of the stuff is in my nightstand though, so everything looks neat and tidy.

My savings.

Phone, alarm clock (because some mornings, at least one of those will fail). Water bottle on the floor so there's less fuss when I tip it over.

Piles of books have taken over most other surfaces.

My phone, water, a tarot deck, and waaay too many books.

Inside? An old silk pillowcase that I don't use anymore, an old birthday card from my mom, and most of my warm pants.

On top? Phone charger, phone, headphones, glasses

Anything that was ever on top of it that I no longer wanted there. There is a whole bunch of shit in there. I even have glow sticks in there.

• Top: lamp, candle holder with LED tealight
• Top drawer: books to read and weed, as well as a smart button
• Middle drawer: pills and supplements
• Bottom drawer: hairbrush, hair ties, nail clippers, nail file, cotton buds and my old watch (a present from my late father)

Other side:

• Top: candle holder with LED tealight, my first haircut (waiting to go into the safe), new books and boardgames waiting to be processed and filed
• Top drawer: wrong colour pillow case
• Middle drawer: VHS tape of some video I took many moons ago waiting for me to convert it to digital as it has my Dad on it
• Bottom drawer: ornamental rocks

A lamp, phone charger, toothbrush charger, holstered handgun, flashlight, and some hair ties. I'll put my glasses and watch on top too before going to sleep.
