Swiss public broadcasters withdraw from X/Twitter
Swiss public broadcasters RTS and SRF are drastically reducing their communications via the social network X (formerly Twitter).
They should really switch to Mastodon and host their own instance, just like the German public broadcast service: ard.social
49 0 ReplyBtw I just realized that the BBC and NPR are also experimenting with Mastodon, the BBC even has their own instance: https://social.bbc/about

Didnt even know abou that...
That's way too progressive.
Especially compared to their YT-channelThey are not even listing it on their website. Neither for ard.de nor tagesschau.de
4 0 ReplyI never use the YouTube channels to watch their content, I prefer to watch that stuff right from the ARD/ZDF media library using an open-source application called MediathekView (GitHub). There's also a web version.

45 0 ReplyI deleted my account yesterday, and don't have any regrets anymore. There's nothing to be gained there. I don't want to be somewhere, where neonazis are encouraged to post

I’m a bit surprised the Swiss were on Twitter to begin with.
