I can see why the "not getting paid enough" part is dystopic, but I can't deny I love the idea of people dressing for comfort and/or functionality over "trendiness" and whatever the fuck "corporate glam" is.. I'd be happy to just let the fashion industry die..
Tbh fast fashion and fashion are two different concepts. People dressing like potatoes and buying h&m crap is very common. E.g. isn't fast fashion a problem in the usa too?
I'm skeptical of any article that says "this group of people are now doing this thing" based on a couple social media posts.
That said, good for them. Wondering if maybe there's something lost in translation because I like wearing a comfy outfit but wouldn't want a "gross" outfit, regardless of the setting. Started my career having to wear a suit and tie so right now I'm pretty happy with jeans and whatever polo (or sloppier when remote)
