She got most of her money by being formerly married to one of the Google founders. He wants her on the ticket because he needs the money.
I know nothing of her politics, maybe she would be a great VP, but being announced as a VP candidate can't be the first time 95% of America hears your name. You have to put in the work to be a serious candidate.
