I don’t think you understand how determined the buyers are once they’ve been convinced by the scammer. I used to work for a major retailer that had signs at the register AND messages that the customer had to accept on the signature pad confirming they didn’t believe they were being scammed before going through with the purchase.
Additionally, my team was instructed to call me over any time they had a customer who they felt was being scammed to try to talk to them. Sometimes, I was successful, but other times I wasn’t. There is still one guy who goes in weekly to buy $500 of various gift cards for his overseas “girlfriend” on WhatsApp. I tried talking to him multiple times and he became increasingly angry at the conversation. I just had to accept I couldn’t help him.
There’s also a good chance many or all of the hostages are dead.
I think this encapsulates NYC to perfection
At first I was like “this shit makes no sense and isn’t funny”
Then I got it and was proud of myself like I had actually accomplished something.
Take your fucking upvote and get out of here.
The word “weird” gets overused a lot but this is weird as fuck. Pretty creepy.
Anyone else hate seeing billionaires, for either side, being so blatantly involved in trying to tip the scales? It’s always been done behind the scenes, but now it’s out in the open and we’re supposed to be happy about it?
It’s wild how conservatives have been led to believe that people shouldn’t make a livable wage doing whatever job needs to be done.
Then, when people don’t want to work for shit pay, they cry that “nobody wants to work anymore”.
Doesn’t surprise me. He owes everything to the McMahon family who was also closely aligned to Trump.
As a Yankee fan, thank you to the Guardians for handing the Yanks the first two games.
Yankees are not a lock, IMO and I’m a fan of them. They’re incredibly sloppy looking and only able to win when the other team is sloppier.
I wonder if it’s because Trump doesn’t want to share the spotlight
Is there something I’m missing? It wasn’t clear to me that he doesn’t have a mask or can’t get one.
I want to commend you for how well you did that. Absolutely beautiful ending with “shop at the same Walmart as them”
They don’t bend without pressure being applied. If you don’t have AppleCare+, you’re probably going to be beat.
It will never be $30,000 or less. He did the same thing with the Model 3.
You really just can’t believe anything this guy says regarding his products.
Safari. Use DDG in browser, but primarily use Perplexity for searches via its app.
Amazing. No notes needed.
While I agree with him, it’s also a stupid thing to say out loud during the election when they’re CLEARLY trying to sway moderate and uneasy right leaning voters.
Honestly that is scary to see. People are going to lose the chance to influence. A true potential for a stolen election.
Photon, on mobile browser, seems to “snap” to the beginning of each post when scrolling. Is there a way to turn this feature off?
Long story short, my son plays Minecraft on the iPad and used some gold coins to purchase an add-on (“TNT!”) from the marketplace. Unlike other addons that work fine, this one gives a “Download Failed” error message every time he tries to install it. I can not, for the life of me, figure out where a support option is for Mojang to help resolve the issue or refund the coins. Does anyone here have any suggestions?
Looking for help in solving a problem where the lower door hinge pin on my entry door keeps creeping up and causing the deadbolt to become slightly misaligned making it more difficult to lock. Reading online, I keep coming across suggestions of tightening a screw that’s supposed to lock the pin in place but my hinges don’t seem to have that screw.
Anyone have any other ideas on how to fix this problem?

I guess they’re going all in on Austin Wells. Wasn’t Rortvedt the next big thing a year ago?
I don’t want to post too much and spoil for people who haven’t watched it yet, but I can’t believe the season is already over. The table settling in the final episode is great, but the almost spiteful desire to show this is its own timeline by making some very permanent decisions seems to remove some of the layers of complexity that made the original story line so good.
So, the team and Judge lied about it being about getting someone else at bats and this being general pre-season wear and tear?
New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone told reporters Monday that ace starting pitcher and reigning American League Cy Young Award winner Gerrit Cole is set to…
I don’t think it’s hyperbolic to say that if he goes down, the season is already over.
Looking for some insight into what everyone is using for antivirus. I have AVG a whirl but I experienced some weird stuttering on my M2 MacBook Air, so obviously I want something that is minimally impactful on performance while still being accurate.
I don't want to put any details before more people have seen it, but this is an episode that started to really paint the picture of what we should expect going forward. Ton of action and some unexpected character deaths really created the feeling of actual stakes. I'll put some other opinions in the following spoilers:
The absence of the spartan armor felt like a budgetary play more than anything else. Like they wanted to spend the money on the Covenant CGI and had to cut from somewhere else.
Unless they decide to stray from the games completely, I don't believe that Keyes is dead. They do a good job of only assuming his death and not showing it. Vannack's death shocked me. I believe his character is exclusive to the Silver timeline, but still made me gasp
What’s everyone thinking so far?
Sangheili CGI looks way better though Spartan animation seems to have taken a hit. Active camo makes the Sangheili seem way more terrifying.
Story seems more interesting especially knowing we’re heading in to the Fall of Reach. I appreciate the story starting to dive into the divide between ONI and UNSC.
Hopefully the rest of the season stays strong.
First of all, just wanted to say thank you. I’ve come over from a different app that I paid for and then it has been, mostly, abandoned. I appreciate the feature set and thought put into Arctic and have donated a bit through the BuyMeACoffee link.
One suggestion/wish: Can you please change the “< Subscriptions” button to something like a hamburger menu icon instead? Here’s my thought process: The current button points backwards which, generally, acts as a navigation to the previous screen one was on. However, in this case, starting on the chosen default tab, there’s nothing really to go back to, yet. Turning this into a menu button gives a better indication of its function and looks more aesthetically pleasing (IMO)
Either way, thanks for the great app and I look forward to your work in the future
