I find blahaj accusations of users here not being queer akshually very hurtful
I was kicked out of rentals multiple times for being visibly queer. I was scared out of some more by people who even moved after me, but made my life a living hell just for being queer. I was driven into near daily crying during highschool by my peers and sometimes even teachers. I was regularly spat on in public with no reaction from other people. I had a car full of tank top wearing men stop with the intention of beating me up when I was in middle school because they thought I looked too much like a "f*g". To see people, some of whom apparently so privileged they don't even experience systematic queerphobia as per own admission, claim us here aren't queer is so hurtful because it feels like it dismisses my entire lifetime of queer pain. Sincere fuck you to the people who make those claims. Maybe you are the one who isn't even queer and just sows discord amogus.
Honestly like I made that big post about cooling it to avoid defederation and while I still think Ada is working in good faith the fucking 196 mod is just a complete radlib "anarcho"-mccarthyist pos, like leaking DMs is such a dick move, I'm kind of split between disliking some of the users for pulling shit like that and a degree of respect for the head mod for trying to build some trans solidarity despite all the shit she's had to put up with from her users and many of the more dunk hungry users on here
Having read Ada's actual mod statement on the third hexbear defederation thread I feel like and hope that maybe it'll work out but honestly at this point I kind of doubt it
she'd really be better off just axing 196 rather than splitting the trans community. but yeah if it goes to a vote its gonna be gone, all the transphobes that have been left unbanned are gonna love to rig that up
the mod for 196 posted this https://hexbear.net/post/361826 but then it was removed by a mod rather than deleted by the person who posted it so idk, maybe there's some internal tension among the blahaj moderators about how to act regarding hexbear
god the thread there with @Nakoichi@hexbear.net is just so wild. people give him shit here for being an anarchist but the 196 libs give him shit for being a tankie
Every thing I see Moss do pushes me further and further away from 196. Ever since that stupid fucking incident where they defended a user being blatantly chasery/transphobic to the point that Ada had to step in.
Their actions just scream incompetence, and I'm convinced they're a 16yo that got in way too deep with a community the size of 196
196 was built and inhabited exclusively by chasers and pick-mes. Purging them would mean deleting the instance comm, so yeah they should do that as soon as possible please
Actually come to think of it, my view of 196 from its very earliest days was of aggressively lib, imperialist, status-quo upholding shitheads. Just full of chasers and younger femboy types who were either absolute pick-mes or just young'ins trying to fit in. In their worldview, all rights have been achieved and asking for anything more is radical and nonsensical. Just weird fetishists and their enablers. They're genuinely disgusting people.
I remember r/196 being pro-V*ush and getting really upset any time I called him a pedo and pointed out all the pedo shit he says, so this tracks. Not sure if this has changed with their migration to blahaj but I doubt it.
idk about blahaj but this tracks with everything I've ever seen from the subreddit. if these are the same people then I'm a little puzzled about why we care what they think. 196 has been infested with vaushits and really uncomfortable chasery stuff for a long time and their mod team bans people on sight for even posting parenti
And using it as an excuse to denounce communism even though Cuba has better literacy rates than the US, lower homelessness, more doctors per capita, and lower infant mortality rate, all despite the embargo.
