Is Baldurs Gate 2 good? Cause I sure as shit can't play 3 with my Potato yes-honey-left

  • Pathfinder Kingmaker or Wrath of the Righteous are probably better alternatives, since Pathfinder fixes at least some of the problems with D&D (Pathfinder 2e fixes more than 1e did, but those games are both 1e). Kingmaker at least has some dogshit brainworms (haven't played Wrath of the Righteous so I can't comment on its brainworms), but is probably the best CRPG I've ever seen apart from that problem.

    • WotR is about leading a war against the demons, instead of ruling a kingdom under siege, so it has fewer brainworms.

      However, there is a radical centrist Lawful Neutral brained path lol

      • Idk about aeon being radical centrist, so much of the mythic quests are about you having people executed for, like, petty crimes and stuff and

        Eventually exiling the majority of people from the crusades because none of them are morally pure enough in your eyes.

        The vibe I got from it was that it was that being lawful puts you at odds with doing good, especially when the laws are unjust.

        Even moreso in act 4 when you enter the abyss and are then tasked with punishing people based on their laws.

        For fucks sake, you get a literal devil as an advisor in act 3.

        • I admittedly have only played a full Azata run and like mid chapter 3 of a Lich run. Then Baldur's Gate 3 had it's full release lol.
