I was picking out books for my daughter at the library and saw a Neil Gaiman children’s book, I perked up then remembered he’s a piece of shit and kept on browsing.
If you don't already have them, Terry Pratchett's "The Amazing Maurice," "Equal Rites," and "The Wee Free Men" are all good books for daughters, plus the rest of the Tiffany and Witches books as she gets older, leading on to the entire canon. If she's not yet a reader (or even if she is) they're also great for reading aloud at bedtime.
