[Feature Request] Block user in comments directly

I would like to have a button in the menu of a comment to block the user directly. Right now, I have to tap on the usernamr to go to their profile to block them.

Also, after blocking the user the app goes directly to the main feed which is very inconvenient if you weren't done reading the post's comments, especially if you have "Hide read posts" enabled. I think the better solution would be going back to the post you came from.

  • I'm not sure but I think upvoted posts add one extra vote for your upvote which is fine when you just upvoted and haven't refreshed the feed yet. But after refreshing the feed those upvoted post's score is always one bigger than when I open the same post in the web app.

  • [Bug] "Open" action on top menu of a post opens the app's WebView instead of external browser

When you have opened a post in the app and you want to open the post externally through the menu in the top bar the app's default web hiew is opened even when the setting ro open links externally is activated

Edit: Apparently it's the "open" action on the top bar menu in general because the same is happening for communities

The setting to have post titles above images does not hide the title below

The title is just duplicated so you have it above and below the image although you would expect only one title above the image

Edit: It's not just image posts but apparently every post.

The last times I updated the app, the settings on the settings page as well as the custom start page got reset to the default

[Bug] External browser toggle resets on save

A couple of hours ago it seemed to work fine but now every time I try yo enable the setting to open links in the external browser and hit the save button, the setting resets. Clearing the app data didn't change the behavior.

[Feature Request] Make community names clickable

It would be great if you could tap tge community name in a post (specific post opened or e.g. in the Frontpage/local view) so you would be routed to the community.

Is Lemmy your first time on the Fediverse?
  • Back when the switch from Twitter to Mastodon was recommended I tried it but didn't really understand how it worked, didn't know how to get to the content I wanted and gave up. This is the first time after that
