  • Absolutely 100% agree. I get it they want people to try it out and buy but it is just a pain and people don't know how to act in public.

Id like to see Costco raise the membership by 10 bucks and then give a $10 discount to anyone who watches a video on how to act in that store, they could use the money from. The raise in membership to pay for the video cause I'm sure most people wouldn't watch it.

  • I got hit with a ransomware attack last week while using usenet, had lots of failed downloads overnight with massive retries and then next thing I know my drive is acting up, had a ransomware get on it and during my cleaning process found several older files with windows viruses and coinminers. Bad practices on my end and probably on many others as well.

  • We have a pair of Norwegian forest cats, brother and sister, and when the male wants cuddles there's almost no stopping him, and those cuddles are called drip drip cuddles because his saliva just starts running while he is rubbing his face all over you and he will do this for 20 to 30 minutes if you let him.

  • Measuring tapes are more widely used by a massive margin. Folding rulers are rare I would say. That being said I have about half a dozen, but all were provided by European manufacturers. I don't think I've ever seen one in a hardware store but I think you can get them on Amazon fairly readily.

That being said, maybe they are more popular than I think as I never need to buy one.

  • I think they will try to ruin our economy first, the Venezuela oil is a big playing card for them. Then they'll try to convince us that but will be less painful to join them, and unfortunately there are some here that will push for that for their own gain.

  • Right, crazy how many people think HR is on their side. Who is pushing this, because it is getting traction everywhere, the politicians are just muppets with someone's hand up their backside making them dance. I say if they want it that bad let's do a trial, all politicians must do 5 years with it first then we'll see if they really think it's needed. But alas they're going to push it through and give themselves a pass.

Something's gotta give I can't believe how many people want 1984 to be the way of life.

  • Eventually vehicles will be more like the other tech in your life, sorry you want to but tires from a company that we don't approve of, not going to happen because we approve the tires to work with our system and the tire pressure monitor is only compatible with Bridgestone tires. Plus they add 30% to the price of the tires for their testing and making sure that they work, nothing to do with profit.

Or like the cell phone industry, you go and fill up with gas, now there's still gas remaining in the car near the end of the month, next thing you know the gas station employee is there to siphon out the gas you didn't use. Well that might be a bit far fetched.

Throw a stupid chip into anything and then someone else has the control, which really is what the governments of the world want, they've had it with people getting ahead and questioning their decisions after all they know better than you and they will lead you.

  • I doubt anything was done, everyone is being tighter with their money and that junk isn't a priority, couple that with the projection from the "delusional right" where it is always someone else's fault even though it is their rhetoric.

  • I can't say I believe that chart, every other country went down other than Canada. I get that we put 1 big pipeline into operation for oil and one for gas recently, and several since 1990, however there is still no way I believe that the US dropped by 6%. They've been building pipelines like mad.

Even reading the summary, 400,000 Hiroshima bombs every day.

The planet will be fine without mankind, and so will nature.

This can all be fixed if the people the masses stand up and say this isn't what we want, no more multi billionaires, not huge tax digest for corporations and seriously start building nuclear, SMR's, battery storage etc.

Right now it ain't working and we are letting the 1% dictate a shitty future for the 99%.

A serious new system where everyone benefits based on real resources not speculation and BS for FIAT dollars.
