I love using interns for this type of stuff at work. They are most likely not idiots but still young and dumb to discover issues in my process....
Ok that sounds fucked up. As does the article. But...
How do the cops recognize you as queer? I bet if 100 cars drove by me I couldn't recognize a single one confidently as gay/lesbian/queer/a sexual/whatever label you want.
Hell I drove home today, can't tell you if the car behind me was a male or female, how do cops spot this?
Latina maybe... Purposed eye looking for a face style.... Lesbian... I can't think of a look that says "that female car driver loves eating pussy".
I'm happy to be proven wrong, but I can't think of something you can do and make me think you're a Lesbian vs straight while driving
I could, give me a chance and I'll do it
Fuck you

I'm not really mad just wanted to continue the joke
I agree mostly, maybe a little more... I don't want any more violent criminals and I don't think lions from the safari should be brought into someplace like NY state.
That said I, as a natural born us citizen of several generations, believe we should welcome other potential citizens with few exceptions.
How long has this been going? A few hours? Days? Weeks?
I mean that happened one time... Is it unusual???
One time a coworker asked me and another friend to go to the casino with her, her mom and her boyfriend after work and me and my friend said yes. We arrive and when we walk in we are told "if you sign up for our players card you get 20 dollars preloaded for free"... What the hell why not, free 20 dollars. Everyone besides me and my friend had one already so we said we'll meet you inside once we get the card.
So we go to the counter and fill out their one page form, take maybe 10 minutes being generous. We get the card and go to walk onto the floor, keep in mind this place only had machine games, no tables or anything and my coworker is walking out with her family. "what's up? I thought you were playing." she responds "nah, we are leaving, we already lost $1500"
Somehow they lost $500 each in under 10 minutes... I still don't know how.
I did mine like 4 years ago now, thermostat, drum roller, belt and bearings were like $20 total and took about 2 hours, ran wonderfully ever since
Fun fact python was named after Monty python, not the snake.
I moved to Texas for a job. I decided to try what a burger. The buns were stale and the burger was greasy. The mix of the two resulted in a taste like instant mash potatoes that weren't cooked right... I threw out 3/4 of the burger and found another place to eat.
Still haven't been back because yuck...
Reminds me of a time several years ago when I went to pick up the kid from a new day care. I walked up to the desk and said "hi, I'm here to pick up a kid" and the woman behind the counter said "no problem, what's the kids name?". Her face went pale and she panicked when I responded "it doesn't matter, I'm not picky"...
To verify your stud detector works you must point it to your self, make a beeping sound, turn to your significant other and tell them "I'm a stud"
With no judgement, what is pcos? And what are the worse symptoms then being hairy?
I know it's hard to get a hotel room in dragon con but just once I want some one to happen to have a business meeting. They book a hotel room and are just utterly confused about all the other guests....
Yeah, it wouldn't be bad if it was done correctly (a little slack and a service loop) but they did everything super tight. What makes it worse is a bad cable is often an intermittent issue and we are a low volume high profit company who can not retest so every time a cable goes bad it's typically several thousand in lost product.
See cable management is great when done correctly. At my job we had a audit complaint that there were too many wires on the ground which would make it difficult to clean under them. Management told all the techs to do cable management so the wires were not dangling. The techs did as told so now we keep getting wires failing because they are super tight and strained. No one mentioned a service loop or anything of the sort. In addition now it takes like 2 hours to replace the bad wire because you have to undo all the wire management, replace the wire and redo all 400 Ip ties.
You have to be careful if there are any 3s though... Sometimes you can't see the threes because of the fouriest....
Basically the commenter is saying that this is not for people struggling to believe in themselves. It's to serve as inspiration to other people to treat them with kindness. They are saying it's not a empty "you can do it" message but a "this is how you should treat people who are struggling" message.
So background, my kid has seizures often. He is currently on 5 different medications to try to control it(plus 1 for sleeping and 1 for his liver enzymes) plus severe non verbal autism so he can't tell us if he already had his meds. Currently when it's medication time, it's always "did you give him his meds yet?" and we have no way of tracking how many seizures he actually has besides "alot more recently" or "it's gone down recently". Yes he had multiple doctors and this is NOT a post looking for health advice.
I am creating an app for phones(c# Maui) which will send json objects to a api to store/retrieve data in a database(when he last had medication x, when he has a seizure etc). It will probably only be used with in my family, maybe 20 entries a day on a really bad day(7 medications twice daily + 6 seizures to give a round number) but should be less then 10 transactions(most medications given at same time).
What's the cheapest/easiest was I can host something like this? I do not have a static ip. Yes it's health information but I'm only storing first names and tracking time of events, not too worried about hippa like security.
The only possible exceptions I can think of are fish(I imagine gills and mouth are not connected but don't really know). I am excluding bacteria and viruses and I believe they don't really breath(correct me if I'm wrong).
I know there choice of distro is really meaningless as you can install almost any program on almost any distro. But I have been playing with kali which is for security people and pen testers. Is there a similar distro for programmers? Like a few ides installed some profiling tools some virtual environment tools etc?
Have the same story but from two different perspectives!
I don't know why this is a thing but if I tap the back of my pixel 6 three times in rapid succession it begins to play my audio book on audible.
From what I can tell audible has to be open but doesn't need to be the app on the screen(for example I can start and stop it while typing this post). Also the phone has to be "on" (meaning the screen is displaying but doesn't need to be unlocked.
Is this just my phone or dies it happen on other people's phone too?
