Yeah, I guess there's really no reason not to give it a shot. I definitely have issues with allowing myself to admit that there might be something wrong with me if I don't already have definitive proof for it. Feels like I'd have to explain my "delusion" if I end up being wrong. (even more so for trans-related stuff)
I should definitely make getting checked a priority. Thanks for the input ^^

silly rant about my silly problems
I really feel like I should get checked for ADHD but it's hard for me to make an appointment for that in the first place.
I'm also scared that I would just tell them what they want to hear without having any "real" condition. I feel like I can't trust a psychotherapist's judgement because our current understanding of adult ADHD feels limited and they would either be too eager to diagnose you or not be willing to diagnose you in the first place.
Another problem is that my public health care system is complicated to navigate but I don't feel like I could trust private care psychotherapists since they have a financial interest in diagnosing me (like I'm just paying them to prescribe me drugs...).
the fact that these kinds of posts seem to always portray the hated guy as a bottom doesn't really sit well with me... feels like that's supposed to be part of the humiliation :/

2 recent posts I made were deleted with the reason "please refrain from cannibalposting" (link to the modlog). I don't get how this is a rule violation and I don't remember r/196 ever removing posts like that.
In general I thought the concensus has always been that 196 is only moderated to remove bigotry and the like, I fail to see how this would be in spirit of the subreddit :/ (unless I'm missing something)

anyone know why the preview won't play the video on lemmy.blahaj.zone but it does on lemmy.world?
At least for me the site seems very unresponsive right now, new posts aren't loading correctly and I'm getting timeouts (probably just overloaded).
As far as I've read lemmy.blahaj.zone was originally just a personal testing site for its owner so that's why I'm concerned that the server load would be too much, no idea how high the costs would be if they kept up with the demand.
The lemmy.world owner already has experience with hosting https://mastodon.world so I would expect this instance to continue to be able to keep up.
ig crossposting is the best approach for now until things settle...
yeah, doesn't seem like lemmy.blahaj.zone can handle the traffic though...
might be better to go with https://lemmy.world/c/196 since that instance is going to be scaled to meet traffic demand (and lemmy.ml doesn't want any more traffic to begin with)
