What are some personally spiteful things you want to do against society because of how much you don't like it's direction?
  • So you go on to say that you want to make things better. But then go on later to say that you can't make a situation better in regarding the Gaza situation.

And then closing that when you work a full time job, it suddenly stops mattering. This is EXACTLY what I'm talking about with society, this pumping brake issue with people. See you talk all to the high heavens about issues but cave into defeatism after sounding so bold.

We need more doers than just thinkers and you aren't a doer.

  • What are some personally spiteful things you want to do against society because of how much you don't like it's direction?
  • I don't give a shit. I asked a question and gave my reasoning. It's idiots like you, that look too into shit like this and turn it all into a pointless debate. You're part of the problem in society so fuck you.

  • Ben Carson calls for making divorce harder
  • It's a good idea in sounding, but like with all crazy legislation, good sounding titles are hiding the actual problem of the body of said legislation.

All this is going to do, is profit for lawyers.

    Dumbasses.

  • ‘My whole library is wiped out’: what it means to own movies and TV in the age of streaming services
  • I understand that things don't last forever. But and it sounds selfish to say and maybe people might agree, I'd like for these things to last as long as I'm alive to view them whenever I please.

Though I'm really sick of this god damn hot potato shit with the content that's spread across several streaming platforms. As well as unstable services. "Oh, we've shut this down, fuck your purchases" "Oh, we couldn't sustain this platform, go elsewhere".

It means a lot to the customer. Doesn't mean dick to these services.

  • I remember TrueGaming having such a stingy requirement, like they wouldn't have allowed you to post for a month. It was dumb but I understood. It's no longer there.

Yeah r/gaming is a shitfest, you can't have an honest engaging conversation about games. It's always about sensationalist takes, cosplayer females dressing sexually to appeal to the lonely losers who frequent there, rage porn for like 2 weeks, unfunny memes and junk posts like "REMAKE THIS ONE GAME ONLY I REMEMBURH! COME ON, I PRETEND TO UNDERSTAND BUSINESS! THIS WILL RAKE IN SO MUCH MONEY!"

And the same person will pull a two-face and condemn the industry for practicing what they think is bad business, while simultaneously STILL PAYING FOR THE SHIT THEY THINK IS THE PROBLEM!

Hypocritical pieces of shit are what that community is.

  • Americans are choking on surging fast-food prices. "I can't justify the expense," one customer says
  • I'm disappointed that instead of cheering for healthier diets, people deciding to turn to healthier lifestyles, eating less, eating healthier .etc

People are upset for price rises on things that give you only seconds of enjoyment and packs you poundage.

  • No. Fucking. Shit.

Any and I do mean, any conservative based subreddit all now function the same. r/conservatives have turned into a shithole. Hell, even TrueUnpopularOpinion has turned into it's own shithole because it's just a foundation for right-wingers to express their radicalized thought processes for all to see.

Let's gloat a little, What makes Lemmy/Mastodon/KBin/BlueSky and the Fediverse better than Facebook/Reddit/Twitter?

With Lemmy - I can block whomever is bothering me and I will not see their posts ever again. I can see their notifications and they somehow can keep responding to me (which ought to be worked on). But erasing their existence on my end should be a thing when you don't want to deal with them.

Lemmy and other federated spots, allow me to make posts that I would otherwise get faulted for if I tried them on Reddit. Like on AskReddit, they don't like it when you ask a question and try to put something in the message body for clarification or it gets removed.

So you have to spend time making another comment to clarify with the possibility of it not being understood anyways because hey, hindsight users.

The karma system on the fediverse does not necessarily impact how much you can post and where you can post. Probably one of the big differences between Lemmy and Reddit for example. If you had negative karma on Reddit, good luck trying to post anywhere because you'll get nagged with Captcha systems.

And good luck posting anywhere you'd like on different subreddits because they'll just outright remove your posts automatically because an arbitrary karma count wasn't met and no subreddit is transparent about it.

If Trump wins this year's general election, aside from Project 2025, What would you expect him to do?

I for example, expect him to no longer require nutrition labels to be on packaged and canned foods. We're all just going to have to eat what we can and play it by portion sizes.

I also expect him to roll back and undo safety regulations within the food industry.

I'm pretty sure he's going to roll back just about everything Biden has done.

He'll make sure the filibuster is gone so that everything he wants to do will just be on the express lane.

What questions do you hate being asked and why?

I hate it when people on social media, dare ask questions when you know they're fishing for personal information/ammo on people to exploit. Like asking for people's dark secrets. Why do you want to know? Is there a fetish to this? Nobody is going to be dead serious, they're just going to give softball answers and why should they trust you, random stranger online?

And I hate money-based questions. Unless I am given a large sum of money or if any of the money scenarios where I am given money comes true, I'm not going to answer these questions because I'm tired of fantasizing about something that will never likely happen in my life. You ask what I'd do with $10,000? Give it to me and I'll show you. Otherwise, don't ask.

Be wary of spiteful Reddit users

In the past week and a half, I've noticed Reddit behaviors starting to try and poison all of the places that people are taking refuge in to get away from the toxicity, myself included. They've started to DDoS Lemmy for a while, which is a Reddit thing to do and what they're notorious of doing whenever they feel they don't like something.

And now they've been trickling in numbers, these incredibly toxic users that behave as they would on Reddit. The reckless shitposting, derailing open civil discussions with unfunny and irrelevant jokes. The downvote brigading and banding together to get you banned. This exact thing has happened to me on Lemmy, that I had to leave because the toxicity was gradually building.

We should reject Reddit toxicity in general, tell them they don't have a place here or anywhere. They know where they can dump their shit in, but they feel that because they've made mountains of it, that they've got to come over to other places and do it all over again.

I left Reddit because the toxicity levels have gotten unbearable. I really am yearning for a place where I can talk in and not be antagonized. I'm sure others are too.
