Over the past few days I let one of the boys Eddie (left, 1y/o) and Samson (ca. 8 y/o) explore the whole apartment without and then with Miez present. They both have been with me since Friday the 4th.
Meine zwei großen Jungs kommen prima miteinander klar. Meine Miez gewöhnt sich langsam an das Pflegekatzen-Konzept.
Während der letzten Tage hab ich den einjährigen Eddie und den ca. 8jährigen Samson abwechselnd und Mal ohne, Mal im Beisein von Miez die Wohnung erkunden lassen. Beide sind seit Freitag, den 4., hier bei mir.
Their absolute favourite new spot is my bedroom window as it points the opposite direction as the living room they stay in.
Ihr neuer zusätzlicher Lieblingsplatz ist mein Schlafzimmerfenster, da es im Gegensatz zum Wohnzimmerfenster auf der Rückseite des Hauses ist.
For Eddie, this is the last full day with me. We got him a nice new home in a quiet town. I hope it'll be a great fit, as they have another cat and a Doberman already. I am positive about it as he looks to Samson on how tto behave and they just lost their older cat, so theirs is used to not being alone as well.
Für Eddie schlägt morgen die Stunde der Abreise. Er zieht in ein schönes Zuhause aufm Kaff. Ich hoffe er schlägt sich dort gut, da die bereits einen Kater und einen Doberman haben. Ich bin zuversichtlich, da er sein Verhalten stets an Samson ausrichtet, und das Paar erst kürzlich ihre ältere Katze verloren haben. Somit ist ihr Kater auch eine weitere Katze im Haus gewöhnt.
Initially Miez clearly stated that she is to be left alone. The others were not interested in her anyhow, allowing her to slowly get used to them.
Anfangs hat Miez klar zum Ausdruck gebracht, dass sie von ihr Abstand zu halten haben. Die anderen haben sich aber eh nicht für sie interessiert, wodurch sie sich langsam an ihre Anwesenheit gewöhnt.
Now we're still looking for a forever home for this long boy, Samson. He initially was found two years ago in one of our larger spaying campaigns a few kilometers away.
Usually the cats that aren't malnurished are being let go if there aren't too many already in the area and if there is noone interested in taking them in, which happens a lot with black cats (as they "bring bad luck"). It is then ensured that they stay well-fed and healthy.
However he made a part of my hometown his new home that has lots of traffic, so now we took him in again to assure his safety. Despite being a stray he constantly seeks the attention of humans and even began playing with Eddie. He has no problem being touched anywhere, including paws, belly rubs and I even can use him as a purring pillow.
They'll make a webpage for him in a few days after a professional photoshoot.
Nun suchen wir noch ein neues Zuhause für diesen langen Kerl, Samson. Er wurde ursprünglich vor zwei Jahren bei einer unserer größeren Kastrationsaktionen ein paar Kilometer entfernt gefunden.
Normalerweise lässt man Katzen, die nicht unterernährt sind, wieder frei – vorausgesetzt, es gibt nicht schon zu viele in der Gegend und es findet sich niemand, der sie aufnehmen möchte. Gerade bei schwarzen Katzen passiert das oft, weil sie angeblich Unglück bringen. Man achtet dann aber darauf, dass sie trotzdem gut versorgt sind und gesund bleiben.
Samson hat sich allerdings ausgerechnet einen Teil meiner Heimatstadt als Revier ausgesucht, wo viel Verkehr ist – deswegen haben wir ihn jetzt wieder aufgenommen, um ihn in Sicherheit zu bringen. Obwohl er ein Streuner war, sucht er ständig die Nähe von Menschen und hat sogar angefangen, mit Eddie zu spielen. Er hat überhaupt kein Problem damit, überall angefasst zu werden – Pfoten, Bauch kraulen, alles kein Ding – ich kann ihn sogar als schnurrendes Kopfkissen benutzen.
Sie werden noch in ein paar Tagen eine Webseite für ihn machen, nachdem er professionell fotografiert wurde.

Eddie (1 y/o) is such a sweetie, purring as soon as he gets a little bit of attention. Tomorrow the first people interested in him will come. Hope it works out, they live in a quiet village with lots of fields he can roam.
Spiel und Spaß mit meinen Pflegekatzen
Der einjährige Eddie ist ein ganz süßer. Er schnurrt bereits bei einem klein wenig Aufmerksamkeit. Morgen kommen die ersten Interessenten für ihn her. Ich hoffe das klappt, die wohnen in einem ruhigen Dorf mit vielen Feldern die er sein Reich nennen kann.
Samson might be a lot older than him, but still loves to play. He doesn't play as long as Eddie, but still very enthusiastic. He's estimated to be born 2017. Due to superstitions, voids are the hardest to foster out. My first foster cat was also a void and she stayed with me for a month.
Samson ist zwar deutlich älter, steht Eddie aber in Sachen Spielen in (fast) nichts nach. Zwar nicht so ausdauernd wie Eddie aber schon mit Begeisterung. Er wurde auf 8 Jahre geschätzt. Wegen Aberglaube sind schwarze Katzen am schwierigsten zu vermitteln. Meine erste Pflegekatze war auch schwarz und ca. einen Monat bei mir.
In the first few days Samson occasionally showed Eddie who is boss. Since Eddie is submissive by nature this was just a few "don't come near me" hisses and paw blows. Now that the order has been established, Samson is fully friendly towards Eddie and totally cuddly towards me.
Anfangs hat Samson die Eddie mit ein wenig Fauchen und gelegentlichen Hieben klar gemacht, dass er ihm nicht zu nahe zu kommen hat und wer hier das Sagen hat. Da Eddie eh unterwürfig ist, war die Hackordnung schnell klar. Seither hat Samson jegliche Aggression beiseite gelegt, ist komplett freundlich gegenüber Eddie und total verschmust mir gegenüber.

First I let my Miez greet them in the garden.
Am Freitag haben Miez und ich zwei neue Pflegekatzen bei uns aufgenommen. Darf ich vorstellen: Samson, das schwarze Loch (geboren ca. 2017), und Ed, die eine orangefarbene Gehirnzelle (1 Jahr alt).
Zuerst habe ich meine Miez die beiden im Garten begrüßen lassen.
I was quite surprised that all of them stayed so friendly.
Ich war ziemlich überrascht, dass alle so freundlich geblieben sind.

Samson had even greeted me while instantly purring when I fetched them at the local cat house. He immediately continued to be so open when at my place...
Samson hat mich sogar direkt begrüßt und laut geschnurrt, als ich sie im örtlichen Katzenhaus abgeholt habe. Bei mir zuhause hat er sofort genauso offen weitergemacht …
...while Ed waited under my couch for things to calm down. But then it was his turn for some scritches.
… während Ed erst mal unter meiner Couch gewartet hat, bis sich alles beruhigt hat. Aber dann war er an der Reihe für ein paar Streicheleinheiten.
Eddie is such a pretty boy.
Eddie ist so ein hübscher Junge.
Samson is one of those "if I sit on it, it's mine", so I guess I belong to him now. He even got a little posessive when Ed tried to join in and let out a bit of a hiss. However they only know each other for three days now, so I expect this to calm down as well.
Samson ist einer von der Sorte „Wenn ich drauf sitze, gehört es mir“, also gehöre ich wohl jetzt ihm. Er wurde sogar ein bisschen besitzergreifend, als Ed dazukommen wollte, und hat ein kleines Fauchen von sich gegeben. Allerdings kennen sie sich erst seit drei Tagen, deshalb denke ich, dass sich das auch noch legen wird.
Ed's one brain cell couldn't figure out how to get from the pole to the board (that has felt on it so they can claw their way up). He's the first cat I've seen climbing back down like this.
Eds eine Gehirnzelle hat es nicht gerafft, wie man vom Kratzbaum auf das Brett (das mit Filz bezogen ist, damit sie sich festkrallen können) kommt. Er ist die erste Katze, die ich gesehen habe, die so wieder runterklettert.
He definitely knows how to pose for selfies though.
Posen für Selfies kann er dafür definitiv umso besser.
Samson deeply enjoys brushing.
Samson genießt die Fellpflege sehr.
While Ed is mostly the one initiating play time, Samson loves to join in.
Während Ed meistens derjenige ist, der das Spielen initiiert, macht Samson dann gerne mit.
All in all the both of them work well together. It will be a fun time until they find their new forever home.
Alles in allem verstehen sich die beiden gut miteinander. Es werden sicher ein paar lustige Wochen, bis sie ihr endgültiges Zuhause finden.

more secure due to the usage of velcro fasteners + only one clip string. At least here, those clip strings are standardized to open at a certain amount of pull applied to it. The goal is that the cat cannot hang itself. Only one clip instead of two means the force doesn't need to pull open two strings at once in the worst case

also more secure due to the velcro + clip usage around the neck: I have personally seen a cat that somehow got her front paw into her collar, which caused her not to be able to move and especially not to free herself. Since the clip strings use basically the same principle, I guess this could also happen with them, with the leg causing just not enough pull for it to open. Why does this even matter? Well, from my experience you first need to get your cat used to the harness without attaching the leash. They need to be able to comfortly walk around, say, your whole apartment, before you can use it outside. And this is done best by having it attached for several hours, and not having to watch them every single minute is just way easier.

I paid attention to get a body harness that is breathable but still sturdy. My cat has thick furr (due to having some maine coon genes in her). It is a loose mesh instead of tightly nitted.

Since my sister's house is only 350 meters from mine, and I have an adventurous cat, I occasionally take her with me there. Miez lived indoor for the first 9 years of her life, since then is allowed supervised garden time.
Ich habe meine Katze Miez mitgenommen, um durch den Garten meiner Schwester zu spazieren. Wir wurden dabei von dem orangen Kater ihres Nachbarn verfolgt.
Da meine Schwester nur 350 Meter weit weg wohnt und meine Katze sehr abenteuerlustig ist, nehme ich sie ab und zu dorthin mit. Miez hat die ersten neun Jahre ihres Lebens nur drinnen gelebt, darf seitdem aber unter Aufsicht in den Garten.
This orange tabby took way more interest in her than vice versa though. She barely took notice, the garden was way more interesting to her.
Dieser Kater hat allerdings wesentlich mehr Interesse an ihr gezeigt als umgekehrt. Sie hat ihn kaum beachtet, der Garten war für sie viel spannender.

At the time I had three cats: Koda and Miez (brother and sister) plus Lilly.
Unfortunatly Koda was stressing out Miez due to being a dick, and all measures I took failed, so I had to separate them. Since Koda stole Lilly's heart, and he would never tell but she also stole his heart, I decided they should stay together.
Luckily a friend of mine's family took them in, so besides getting some pics and vids, I also get to visit and sit them occasionally.
I also foster cats though. Had only one yet, a beautiful black kitty called Indira, but might get a second one soon.

Daher bin ich Fan davon, Nazis wie ihn auch Nazi zu nennen, gerade weil er sich so dagegen wehrt. Weil es halt nun Mal das selbe angst- und hasserfüllte Gedankengut ist das sie verbreiten. Diskussion sinnlos.

I have set up this jump for the 2021 born Lilly when I sit her but now Miez (born 2013) also got the hang of it.
Then it clearly isn't somebody else's cat and it is good on you to take care of her. Seriously, people here all butthurt because I'm pointing out that it is not a good idea to feed other people's pets. And even insulting me, such entitled pricks.
When the cat is not malnurished and in good health then don't feed it. You don't know of allergies or other causes for special food. It is natural for cats to eat mice and birds, but eating other things like tuna can do damage.

Back in the day until 2014, my eldest sister had an amazing cat called Lilly.
Unser Katzen-Stammbaum
Vor einiger Zeit - bis 2014 - hatte meine älteste Schwester eine wunderbare Katze namens Lilly.
! Unfortunately, Lilly passed away while I was visiting them over the christmas holidays. She was only three years old.
Leider ist Lilly schon im Alter von drei Jahren verstorben, als ich gerade über Weihnachten zu Besuch war.
! Originally it was planned that I get two of her offsprings. However it turned out that it was only a pseudo-pregnancy. Then my sister got Koda (left) and Miez for me from a nearby farm instead and kept them for a week. Lilly took care of them and missed them after I came to pick them up.
Ursprünglich war geplant, dass ich zwei ihrer Jungen bekomme. Es stellte sich jedoch heraus, dass sie nur scheinträchtig war. Meine Schwester hat mir daraufhin stattdessen Koda (links) und Miez von einem nahegelegenen Bauernhof geholt und behielt sie eine Woche lang. Lilly kümmerte sich um sie und vermisste sie, nachdem ich sie abgeholt hatte.

A year later I decided it was worth a try to absolve the tensions by giving mostly Koda a new playmate. Coincidentally, the first calico I found locally was already called Lilly.
Da Lilly so früh starb, wollte ich schon immer eine dreifarbige Katze adoptieren und sie in Gedenken auch Lilly nennen. Als meine Katzen sieben Jahre alt wurden, fingen sie an, sich viel zu streiten. Ein Jahr später beschloss ich, zu versuchen die Spannungen zu lösen, indem ich v.a. Koda einen neuen Spielkameraden hole. Zufällig hieß die erste dreifarbige Katze, die ich auf Kleinanzeigen fand, bereits Lilly.
! Koda helped Lilly overcome her anxiety. After she had opened up, they became best friends.
Koda half Lilly, ihre Ängste zu überwinden. Nachdem sie sich geöffnet hatte, wurden sie beste Freunde.
! Unfortunately Lilly also took over Koda's behaviour of being mean to Miez. They now live with a friend's family. From time to time I get to sit them.
Leider hat Lilly auch Kodas gemeines Verhalten gegenüber Miez nachgeahmt. Sie leben nun bei einer befreundeten Familie. Zeitweise hüte ich sie bei mir.

Vor vier Jahren adoptierte meine Schwester dann Frodo. Er ist ganz schön dehnbar.

Turns out even Pünktchen ("little dot", named after her face pattern) likes my scritches. Took her since sunday though to warm up to me.
Katzen-Sitting – Abholtag. Hab noch ein bisschen mit Pünktchen und Koda gekuschelt und mit Lilly gespielt. Miez freut sich jetzt, dass sie das Wohnzimmer wieder für sich hat.
Wie sich rausstellt mag auch Pünktchen - die nach ihrem Gesichtsmuster benannt ist - meine Krauleinheiten. Sie hat aber seit Sonntag gebraucht aufzutauen.

Mit nem knappen Jahr ist sie immer noch winzig aber ne gaaanz Süße.
Lilly is 3 y/o and has the most beautiful coloring.

Lilly is also super majestic, doing every jump with seeming ease that no other cat even attempts.
Lilly ist darüber hinaus noch sehr elegant, meistert jeden Sprung mit scheinbarer Leichtigkeit, den keine andere Katze überhaupt probiert.
This vid was a little dark due to dimmed lighting, had to brighten it a bit. However now her colouring really shines.
Dieses Video war aufgrund des gedimmten Lichts zu dunkel. Nach dem Aufhellen kommt dafür ihre Farbgebung super rüber.
Koda, or sir floofsalot. Moving always makes him grumpy for three whole days, even though he knows his surroundings. Today on the other hand he even purred a little bit.
Koda, der Flauschige. Er mag einfach keine Ortswechsel (auch wenn er alles schon kennt). Daher ist er immer drei geschlagene Tage pissig. Heute hat er zum ersten Mal ganz kurz geschnurrt.
He is also a bit of a vampire with his one incisor sticking out.
Sein einer Schneidezahn steht auch immer raus, ein wenig vampirisch.
He will always be my big cuddle buddy (he grew up with me but doesn't get along with his sister Miez anymore).
Er wird immer mein großer Kuschelbär bleiben (er ist bei mir aufgewachsen, verträgt sich aber nicht mehr mit seiner Schwester Miez).
They were picked up an hour ago and Miez has already reclaimed the living room and me. She'll get a lot of cuddle time now that I got my wisdom teeth removed without issues but with pain and sufficient healing time.
Die anderen wurden vor ner Stunde abgeholt und Miez hat schon mich und das Wohnzimmer zurück erobert. Sie wird jetzt viele Kuscheleinheiten von mir bekommen, nachdem ich nun erfolgreich meine Weisheitszähne raus bekommen hab aber natürlich noch Schmerzen hab und das ganze verheilen muss.

Tomorrow my two remaining wisdom teeth are finally getting pulled. So today I enjoyed spending my Feierabend in my garden with my cat Miez.

Miez keeps in view most of the times while I'm out there. However the tracker gives her some additional freedom.
Miez bleibt die meiste Zeit im Blickfeld, während ich mit ihr draußen bin. Der Tracker gibt ihr jedoch etwas mehr Bewegungsfreiheit.
The weather was perfect for her thick fur today with 19°C, a bit windy and cloudy.
Heute war mit bewölkten, leicht windigen 13 Grad perfektes Wetter für Miez.
Not even the ambulance in the distance can disturb her. She likes to keep tabs on me though.
Nicht einmal der Krankenwagen in der Ferne kann sie stören. Sie behält mich aber gern im Auge.
Koda if ever mostly purrs softly. He is expressive in other ways.
Koda schnurrt wenn überhaupt nur sehr verhalten. Dafür ist er sonst sehr expressiv.

Lilly loves herself some scritches. I am sitting her, Koda (both former cats of mine) and Pünktchen until thursday. The first few days Lily was mostly under the couch.
Miezles hüten Tag 3 - Lilly ist endlich hervorgekommen
Ich passe bis Donnerstag auf Lilly, Koda – die früher mal meine Katzen waren – und Pünktchen auf. Lilly liebt es, gekrault zu werden. In den ersten Tagen hat sie sich allerdings meistens unter dem Sofa versteckt.
Lilly is a real cutie pie. She has always had some major anxiety issues though. If you watch closely in some vids you can see hair missing on one of her hind legs. It is where she used to gnaw herself sore when she was younger.
Lilly ist echt ein süßer Schatz. Allerdings hatte sie schon immer ziemlich mit Angstproblemen zu kämpfen. Wenn man genau hinsieht, fällt einem auf dass an einem ihrer Hinterläufe Haare fehlen. Dort hatte sie sich früher selbst wund gebissen.
Sometimes she gets scared for no real reason, but such lashings out are seldom. Pünktchen seems to handle this really well.
Manchmal erschreckt sie sich ohne erkennbaren Grund, aber solche Ausbrüche kommen zum Glück selten vor. Pünktchen scheint damit richtig gut umgehen zu können.

My cat Miez is the only one with garden privileges. I trained Koda from early on to keep inside (had a balcony back then but it still works here).

Miez genießt, dass sie die einzige ist die in den Garten darf. Pünktchen schaut gerne allem und jedem zu.
Koda has claimed the biggest hammock as his, to no surprise. He's sleeping a lot.
Koda hat natürlich die größte Hängematte erobert. Er schläft viel.
Kodas main advantage: He knows me well enough not to try anything while I can reach him. So he has open door privileges (with me sitting right next to him). I'm surprised neither him nor Miez hissed.
Kodas Vorteil: Er kennt mich gut genug keinen Ausbüchs-Versuch zu starten, zumindest nicht solange ich so nah neben ihm sitze dass er mir nicht entkommen kann. Es hat mich überrascht dass weder Miez noch Koda hier gefaucht haben.
However Miez likes to keep her distance towards her brother.

I haven't seen Lilly up and about yet today, only yesterday very late and very sleepy.

Today, I went to stack up on my cat Miez's medication before the easter holidays. Their horses sure do have one of the best views in town up there. This is Eichstätt, Bavaria, Germany.
Die Pferde meines Tierarzts haben nen tollen Ausblick. Außerdem treffe ich gerade Vorbereitungen für den Besuch meiner ehemaligen Katzen.
Heute hab ich noch schnell vor den Feiertagen die Medikamente meiner Miez aufgefüllt. Die Pferde bei meinem Tierarzt haben einen der besten Ausblicke der Stadt (Eichstätt in Oberbayern).
Miez might be asthmatic but otherwise she is my very healthy 11 y/o girl. This is her sitting on my current build project, a staircase cat tree.
Miez hat zwar Asthma, aber ist sonst meine sehr fitte 11jährige Katzendame. Hier sitzt Miez auf der Katzentreppe die ich gerade baue.
Over easter I'll be sitting her brother, who lives with friends. Koda unfortunately isn't as agile anymore with some painful hip issues. I hope to also prevent Miez from such issues.
Ihr Bruder Koda, der bei Freunden lebt, hüte ich über Ostern. Er ist leider nicht mehr so agil, von Hüftproblemen geplagt. Ich hoffe das bei Miez vorbeugen zu können.

This cutie is Lilly, his companion since 2021. Although she is much smaller than him, she definitely knows how to handle Koda. Fun fact: My oldest sister got Koda and Miez from a farm and kept them for a week until I came to pick them up. At the time she had also a "Glückskatze" (cats with such coloring are called lucky cats here) named Lilly. Anyway, Lilly is totally in love with Koda, who healed her anxiety through his calmness.
Die süße Lilly ist Kodas Begleiterin seit 2021. Sie kann sich trotz ihrer im Verhältnis geringen Körpergröße gut mit ihm messen. Kurzer Hintergrund: Meine älteste Schwester hat Koda und Miez von nem Bauernhof geholt und ne Woche zu sich genommen, bis ich die beiden geholt hab. Zu dieser Zeit hatte sie auch eine Glückskatze namens Lilly.
Their latest addition is Pünktchen (little dot). She will join the both of them for the first time here.

Pünktchen is at least 1.5 y/o, yet developmentally delayed, thus still really small. Her hind leg bones are not fully developed (yet?) so jumping does not really work for her. However she has mighty muscles in her front leg so she can pull herself up anywhere.
Über Ostern hüte ich meine ehemalige Katzen Koda und Lilly. Daher haben mich meine Freunde heute eingeladen, um ihren Neuzugang Pünktchen kennen zu lernen.
Pünktchen ist mindestens anderthalb Jahre alt aber durch Entwicklungsverzögerung noch sehr klein. Die Knochen ihrer Hinterbeine haben sich (noch?) nicht richtig entwickelt, also tut sie sich mit Hüpfen schwer. Jedoch hat sie dafür umso kräftigere Vorderpfoten mit denen sie sich überall hochzieht.
We immediately clicked and she enjoyed my head scritches really much. She did a small big stretch and even let me rub her belly. All good signs for a good visit to my place. Wir haben uns sofort gut verstanden und sie hat mein Kopfkraulen sehr genossen. Sie hat sich gestreckt und sogar am Bauch kraulen lassen. Also wird ihr Besuch keine Probleme darstellen.
Koda let me pet him a little bit, which surprised me as he is usually really grumpy on visits. Koda is a big derpy fellow and always lays in the weirdest positions.
Koda hat sich ein wenig streichen lassen, was unüblich ist, da er auf Kurzbesuchen normalerweise er stinkig ist. Er ist ein großer komischer Kauz der immer in den seltsamsten Positionen liegt.
Here he is at his favourite spot: In the hammock on the cat tree I built for him and Lilly as a parting gift (had to separate him and his sister Miez due to constant fighting).
Hier ist er auf seinem Lieblingsplatz: in der Hängematte des Kratzbaumes den ich für ihn und Lilly zum Abschied gebaut habe (ich musste ihn von seiner Schwester trennen da die beiden sich ständig gestritten haben).
Unfortunately, Koda is aging really fast (born 2013). He has some painful hip issues, as well as some temporary but re-occurring eyesight and smell issues. Before his visit I'm gonna have to finalize a stair cat tree for him to hop down on.
Leider hat der 2013 geborene Koda schon deutliche Alterserscheinungen. Seine Hüfte schmerzt des öfteren; sowohl seine Sicht als auch sein Geruchssinn sind immer wieder zwischendurch stark eingeschränkt. Bevor er zu Besuch kommt muss ich unbedingt noch den Treppenkratzbaum fertigstellen, damit er gut nach unten kommt.
I only magaged to snap this quick pic of Lilly, She is really evasive for visitors, always has been. However when she visits me she opens up really fast as she is into purrkour. In preparation I have set up a difficult jump for her.
ich habe es lediglich geschafft diesen Schnappschuss von Lilly zu erhaschen. Wie schon früher ist sie Besuch gegenüber immer ausweichend. Wenn Sie jedoch bei mir zu Besuch ist, taut sie sehr schnell auf da hier viel für sie geboten ist. Ich habe an der kratzwand für sie extra einen großen Sprung eingerichtet.
By chance just today I saw Koda and Lilly posted on imgur, an hour before leaving to catch my train. I'm really looking forward to having them all here.
Durch Zufall habe ich heute noch eine Stunde bevor ich zum Zug zu Koda und Lilly musste auf imgur gesehen. Ich freue mich sehr darauf sie alle hier zu haben.

A family first adopted Indira's sister Amira (right) until they convinced the dad to take in Indira as well. So they came by to collect her on Saturday.
Today they texted me saying both Indira and her sister Amira immediately recognized each other and get along well. Both of them love salmon. Indira settled in nicely and even lets them pet her on the head already after two days. It took me three days for her to start eating and three weeks for petting. Now after only two days she is fine. I'm so happy for my first foster cat and am looking forward for hopefully many more to come.
Side note: I love how the picture shows her never straight tail. Although it isn't hurt or anything she always has some curl or bend in it.
Ich hab gute Neuigkeiten von meiner schwarzen Pflegekatze in ihrem neuen dauerhaften Zuhause
Eine Familie hat zuerst Indiras Schwester Amira (rechts im Bild) adoptiert, bevor sie doch den Vater davon überzeugt bekommen haben nun auch Indira dazu aufzunehmen. So haben sie sie nun am Samstag abgeholt.
Heute haben sie mir geschrieben: "Indira hat sich gut eingelebt bisher. Die beiden haben sich gleich wieder erkannt und vertragen sich.
Streicheln am Kopf klappt auch schon.
Auf Lachs stehen beide ☺️"
Bei mir hatte sie erstmal drei Tage nichts gegessen und nach drei Wochen durfte ich sie erst streicheln. Nun ist sie schon nach zwo Tagen soweit. Ich freu mich dass es meiner ersten Pflegekatze so gut ergeht und das macht mir Laune auf alle die nachfolgen werden.
So nebenbei: Ich finds witzig dass man Indira meist am geknickten oder verbogenen Schwanz erkennt. Sie hat da keinerlei Verletzung oder so, sie macht das einfach immer so.
