  • on charges of making a false statement

Trump had made no less than 50,000 false statements, so what's this double-standard?

More importantly, it seems that Trump, as president, is quite literally going after anyone he doesn't like. From comedians to former FBI directors.

    Why is this OK?

  • My use case:

I use a Synology NAS to backup my photos/videos. On mobile, I use the Synology Photos app for 100% of the backups, because it's been 100% reliable for me over the years.

I basically run Immich in read-only mode, and specifically for searches. The contextual search is incredible, and after putting it side-by-side with a very expensive Windows software that uses local AI search, it came out on top... no contest.

So in that sense, I'm very happy!

  • Are those green mini icons an indication of a PWA shortcut?

I use the app Hermit to run isolated websites, usually as PWAs. It's replaced quite a few apps, but I've noticed that many companies are intentionally making their web experience shit so they force you to use invasive apps.

Anyway, it can create home icons for those sites, and they run separately (i.e. in your task switcher), so it works better than browser shortcuts.

  • I have the maroon coloured one with a Praxix 2x in the front. I can't comment on how different/similar the one you posted (SRAM Apex) is to mine, but I like mine!

I got it specifically for long-distance rides, and completed a 230km ride (single day) the other weekend. I use cheap, Continental Ultra Sport III tires, and swapped out the pedals, saddle, and handlebars (gift), and added a ton of bags to carry my food and tools during those rides.

I haven't been on any other road or gravel bikes to compare, but I've put over 4500km on this bike in less than a year, and it's not even my main bike! LOL

  • Trump is a jackass, so he lies about everything. Kimmel has the second-highest viewership in the States, behind Colbert.

If we want to talk numbers, Trump's "The Apprentice" had a max 20 million viewers (peak was in season 1 😂), which took a nosedive each year for the entire run of the show.

Kimmel's YouTube channel has over 13 BILLION views with over 20 million subscribers and gaining over 100,000 new subscribers per month. Factor in viewers from TV and he destroyed Trump's show no contest.

  • Yeah, depending on where and when you're in the area, some of the industry puts out some really nasty stuff into the air. There's a large industrial area by the waterfront trail in Whitby, and if you go at the "wrong" time, it smells like they're burning tires. I get an instant headache if I'm unfortunate enough to be there when they're doing it. I can't imagine working or living in the area, TBH.

What is it with websites restricting passwords to 8 - 16 characters? Is there some technical limitation to their system??
