[Feature Request] Ability to list all communities on an instance
  • Good point. I was confused and thought it was possible to see other instances communities directly in Lemmy but it is not.

I do think we should have a feature to see all communities in the local instance in wefwef though.

  • Reading /all from another instance?
  • I’m not 100% sure but I assume Lemmy.world is federated with a number of other instances. Also keep in mind it only shows the username (at least in compact view) in the post list. You have to open the actual post to see the full user@instance.

  • Reading /all from another instance?
  • “Home” is your subscribed communities, “all” is everything from all communities the instance your using is federated with and “local” is everything from only the instance you’re using.

  • [Feature Request] Ability to list all communities on an instance

Having the ability to see all communities on an instance (one you’re logged into or others which are federated) would be really helpful to find new communities were interested in.

PSA: Let’s fill Kbin/Lemmy with content to attract and KEEP new users
  • It’s a web app instead of native app. I’m using https://wefwef.app/

They said they are adding an android skin as well on the road map. I’m assuming you can simply use it on an android phone now, although I haven’t tested so could be wrong.

I’m not sure how you do it on android but in iOS you can add it to your Home Screen and it opens up similar to how a native app would.
