Have you verified that this is not a DNS issue? For example, is curl http://1.1.1.1 working, while curl http://ip.me not working?

It's not like you won't notice if the AI tells you to pour cleaning products into your stir fry.

What's with the US funding resistance groups only to have those groups turn their back on US when they finally got in power?

The thing is, I'm ok if Google do this right from the start. Instead, they use their massive capitals to run YouTube for free and squashed all their competitors. Vimeo was the most promising competitor in this space, but they can't compete with Google's infinite subsidy to YouTube and had to pivot. Now that there is no competitor around anymore, Google jacked up prices, reduced monetization rates for their content creators, locked up formerly free features behind subscription plans, and now declaring a war with adblockers.

If YouTube fails there will be no alternative to take their place.

So yeah, I'm not supporting Google in this space because this whole situation where there is no competitors to YouTube anymore is Google's own doing.

China don't need to deploy their army. They can simply threaten to cease all trades. No countries can afford to stop trading with China since practically everything are manufactured there. Even Taiwan, China's mortal enemy, still trades with China.

It happened in Sri Lanka a while ago. China financed the construction of a new deep water port. The port is finished, but Sri Lanka can't service the debt so the new port is now under China's control (99 years lease agreement).

Which country able to absorb 2 millions refugees without causing catastrophic socioeconomic issues? Egypt certainly can't do it. Even if it's spread evenly among, say, 20 richest countries, 100k refugees is still a huge number to deal with and will cause many social issues for years until the refugees are fully integrated into the new society.

Normally I'd agree with you, but this is Google, the 4th largest companies in the world, not some scrappy startup which might go away next quarter if they can't hit their revenue target. If Google actually shutdown YouTube, I'd cheer because that's when the real competition begun in the video space.

Casting works on smart tube by pairing it with revanced or official YouTube app via the remote control settings. After pairing, the cast button will send video to your smart tube app on your tv. The caveat is smart tube must be running first, it won't be automatically launched if it's not running like the official YouTube app when you hit the cast button.

I guess there is no legal option for individuals because Microsoft only provides LTSC option for orgs. Most guides I saw in the internet just tell you to download some iso from google drive link. You might be able to download it from Microsoft here but I haven't actually tested it because it asks you to register your info before proceeding. Then you'll activate it using activator scripts such as MAS or buy some grey market keys on some keys site.

US in that time period is pretty wild! They have:

Don't shutdown the VM. Instead, use shutdown -> save button in the virt-manager. Now your VM will launch in seconds next time you want to use it because it'll be resumed from the saved state.
