I've tried a lot of different DAWs already, Cubase/Nuendo, ProTools, Logic, Reaper, FL Studio, Bitwig, Ableton, Studio One, just to name a few. I've worked professionally only with Cubase, Pro Tools and Logic. I hated every minute I used Logic. Cubase being the best for composing and Pro Tools for recording and mixing. Studio One is very mature right now and that's what I'm testing, since they now have a Linux beta. I tried Ardour before and unfortunately it doesn't come even close to being as good as a "real" professional DAW. Even Logic was more pleasant to use than Ardour. I really wanted to like it, but it was not a very pleasant experience.
Free Download Manager was pretty rad. Being able to resume the download later was a life saver for dial-up connections. I remember that it took me almost a week to download Gunbound.

The speed is really cool, but the reason Rust is elemental is that it’s one compiled blob that can be used to bootstrap and maintain a Python development. A blob that will never break because someone upgraded Homebrew, ran pip install or any other creative way people found to fuck up their installations. Python has shown to be a terrible tech to maintain Python
His critics are actually terrible. The way he criticizes makes him look like a jerk and he doesn't give any constructive feedback. I mean, if the COSMIC team was not doing anything to improve the product and just riding with the positive wave of reviews, I could almost agree with him, but that's not what's happening at all. WTF is he going on about? Did something happen that we don't know about?
I hope "normal people" start exploiting that decision too. Training AI to consume stuff from big corporations and using the result to create open source/copyright free stuff from copyrighted works.

This is not about the App Store service's quality, this is about option. They could charge 50% for all I care, if we had the option to buy iOS apps from another store other than Apple's.
Unfortunately, boycotts and labels are not enough. I wish we didn't have to involve the government in this, believe me. There are dozens of different dark patterns and malicious compliance that companies apply to trick customers into buying things. You might be someone informed enough that would not fall for those tricks, but there a lot of people that would benefit from a law that prevents companies from doing that in the first place (children, people with mental disorders like gambling addiction, etc).
