Hi - Created a community here. wondering how I can change it's Icon, or is that only something the admin's can do?
Basically I made a community on lemmy.fmhy.ml and then searched for it on a different instance and it wasn’t coming up, and apparently you have to search !community@instance and subscribe and only then will the community be searchable/accessible from the other instance.
I think an important functionality would be able to search with a prefixed exclamation mark to be able to specify an unfederated community, such as !community@lemmyinstance.com
Im still learning the ropes here but I think that’s an important thing to be able to do from wefwef?
Hello 👋 I made a community called loveisland on this instance but I can’t access it from the other instance I’m registered on (namely lemmynsfw.com but also feddit.uk)
I made the community a few days ago and have searched for it multiple times from those servers but it never shows in the search results.
Anyone know what’s going on?
The fediverse is ready, if you build it they will come!
I think there needs to be a sensible way to crowdfund the server costs, but I can’t see any other reason why it shouldn’t succeed
It’s one of those features that you get used to & then miss - but agree it’s not absolute top priority! :))
On Apollo you could tap the area just below the FaceID sensor and it would zip you straight back to the top of whatever you were scrolling. This would be useful to have again!
