I recently tried to book a numerology session and it felt like a total scam :/
  • I think everyone here agrees numerology is a scam with zero scientific evidence.

What does lemmygradians think of traditional Chinese medicine?

The scientific reasoning behind specifically acupuncture and cupping sound 100% like bullshit to me, but anecdotally it works for relieving chronic pain for my partner. Go figure.

  • Where to start with Linux?
  • Tl;dr: when you get into it, you will change distros like you change clothes, so it doesn't really matter.

Theres no much to go wrong by picking popular choices (Ubuntu) and figuring out how to change it later.

I was going to continue, but I explicitly wanted to write the shortest post in the thread.

  • Missing Titan sub has 40 hours of air left as search yields no results
  • How expensive are these efforts for the taxpayers?

Shouldn't they just ask for Elon's engineering prowess, instead?

Their stupid experiments fail and society has to pay for it, yet again?

Questions shouldn't offend anyone. That's my opinion. /s

  • How screwed am I?
  • That screams inexperience in their end, to me. 20 years in the field, I learned to respect legacy. Can't move away from it without getting it under control first and then weeding out the smelly parts.

  • Opinion on homesteading?
  • I remember someone at r/antiwork that did the maths and started producing food for sale in local markets as a single worker, reaping the value of his own work. Apparently, after a lot of work he was making higher than minimum wage.

But I can't find the link right now. I'll continue looking for it and update this if I find it.

Additionally, Friedrich Engels, partner and lifelong friend of Karl Marx, the revolutionary socialist, was himself a son of a wealthy factory owner. Such people sacrifice their ability to be part of the capitalist upper-class for the sake of who they see as the oppressed, even if it hurts their status in the process.

I think it's less about your specific status than about the ideas and the people your stand with.

  • Are there any Reddit refugees spending more time on Lemmy than Reddit?
  • I just go to reddit to upvote protest posts and unsubscribe from scab subreddits.

Lemmy has everything I need. :D

In the meantime, why don't you crosspost the posts you miss here? Blatant stealing content was appreciated in reddit, and I'm sure this community will take it with open arms!

  • Statement from r/antiwork mods

Tldr; Antiworks is back from blackout and the mods are not sure what's coming next, but will start pushing updates soon.
