get a framework. I cannot recommend it enough, I've had mine six months and it's been an absolute dream. (other than the touchpad breaking out of nowhere a week ago,, but they've already replaced it free of charge so that's not such a big deal imo)
It was the reddit icon at the time of migration two years ago. It's the default subreddit icon overlayed with armenian corey overlayed with a funny looking bird.
hey there, just wanted to add that while the majority of this post is relatively accurate, my team and I never did and never will have any issue with transgender identities. Being both nonbinary and medically transfeminine myself, the idea that I would take any action based out of hate for my fellow trans people is appalling. If you would like a more accurate idea of why we took the actions we did, and why we reversed them, please see this post.
dude I get you're pissed off at us but please chill. We haven't removed anything you've posted because that goes against our ethos, but every single post or comment we make has had at least two paragraph-long fuming comments. Lay off it already. You got everything you wanted. You have your own community, and this one is reopened as well.
if you look into my comment history and moderation history you will see that I have never had an issue with neopronouns. The narrative that we are doing this out of any form of queerphobia is false.
hey there, just weighing in. Neopronouns were not a factor in our decision. In addition, malicious misgendering has always been something that constitutes a removal or ban. this choice was in no way and attempt to reduce the queerness of 196
I did feel like we grew a little bit bigger than made sense on blahaj.zone. the instance feed was 90% our community and I could absolutely see that suffocating smaller ones trying to get started here.
it's less that lemmy.world needs 196, and more that we think it is an instance that is well suited to host 196. this community is not one that is defined by the instance it is located on
that is exactly what is going on. I'd like to keep what happened behind closed doors behind closed doors. while, for example, publicizing my DMs would most likely give more substance to my arguments, it would burn bridges that I am unwilling and undesiring to burn.
while I am still confident this is the right choice of instance to transfer to, i do think you are most likely right. if I had a do over, I would have made a poll before anouncing this. unfortunately at this point, I feel like it's a little late in the game to do a 360.
we have been given a large degree of freedom in how we run our community by lemmy.world admins, with an aggrement that we would be able to continue to moderate our community by our rules. I can guarantee we will not be expected to entertain trolls, as I ensured we would not have to before approving the transfer.
