A subreddit I loved was “visiblemending” where people fixed things with visible stitches, patches, etc often in very fun and creative ways! It’s totally a thing and totally cool.

Yes I came here to say this exactly! It makes discussions so much easier. You can all stay on the same page so much easier and I don’t feel forced to rush through. I like having a weekly schedule (Mondays I have [this] to look forward to, Wednesday I have [this], etc).

99% of my Deck gameplay has been Harvest Moon Animal Parade (Wii game) since I got it last fall. Lmao. But I recently got a little chill game called Lemon Cake on sale so I’ve been messing with that. I just want calm games these days, preferably ones I can pick up and put down easily.

I’ve heard this mentioned a few places!! Is it relatively chill?

Doesn’t Tildes also need an invite? So it’s less likely to have a mass migration.

Especially when losing 3rd party apps loses them a lot of mod and bot tools/support. The power hungry mods will stay but those that were just doing it to be helpful are gonna feel burned.

I will really miss the imaginary network (slice of life, garden, interiors, etc).

I desperately will need a new OutoftheLoop lol. A new DIWHY as long as it also doesn’t get filled with ragebait…

Finding out about new podcasts is something I’ll really miss about Reddit. I feel like that’s not even that niche/small, surely one will pop up soon!

Hi, I’m one of those newbies. :) I figure why wait for the building to fall, get out while I still can. I would have never used the Reddit official app, but considered using it on browser still. Until I saw that too. And old.Reddit is very hard to read on mobile, and I’m 100% a mobile user. I hope with more users here more niche hobby spots will open up. :)

I have been 100% ebooks for years, but after a combination of factors such as books not being available from my library on Libby and them being kinda pricey on Kindle, plus getting in to a booktuber (Ariel Bissett!) I got introduced to ThriftBooks and in 2 months I’ve bought over 15 physical books. 😅 It’s a change to be sure and I’m not sure how I feel about all the space books will take up again in my life, but it’s nice to have them.
