Nah, you're using your own API key.
Works for free if you patch it with ReVanced.
It is a widespread bug. Very well known. Mozilla Connect Discussion Bugzilla Discussion
Hopefully they have a fix for the battery drain on Android. People have been reporting unusually high drain on Reddit, on Bugzilla and on Mozilla support since January and they still haven't managed to fix it.
Honestly, at this point I kinda prefer to go on Reddit. I'm getting tired of all the tech/FOSS talk and there's so much doom and gloom on here it just bums me out.
Seems dead unfortunately. I loved it too.
At this point I'm only using Sync and Voyager.
I don't tell people about the Fediverse.
Well that was 18% of 90% so still awful drain regardless.
Well here's the drain I was talking about at least. 18% in less than an hour and thirty minutes of use for a web browser isn't normal. In an hour of use a Chromium browser only drains 6-7 ish % for me. This has been an issue for I guess the past month or so? It drove me crazy so I had to uninstall. And it's not just me either, there are tons of posts from people with the same problem on Reddit. If you don't have problems, good for you I guess.
I ran Firefox Android with uBo and AdGuardDNS.
That's all fine and good but Firefox on Android is currently in a sorry state. No per-site process isolation, buggy, can't keep tabs open, slow, choppy, drains battery. Had to uninstall it on my brand new Galaxy S24+ and my Pixel 6 Pro because it was draining so much battery. When are you going to finally stop ignoring Firefox Android, Mozilla?
They changed their bootloader unlock policy. Avoid like the plague.
I switched to Sync and Voyager. Sad :(
Thanks!
Haiya literally just finished studying for a statistics final so I went on Lemmy and the first post I see is more statistics =). Haha, anyway, great work!
Oh here's my monthly reminder that JK Rowling is nutjob.
It was a bug a while back. It went away, now it came back. It's been here again for what? 1,2 months now? Actually, now that I think about it, it's been an on and off bug ever since Android gained gesture navigation and the gesture bar LMAO.
That's all fine and good but I need them to fix the battery drain first. It drains an insane amount of battery on Android. It drains more than games.
Iris scan, voice samples and blood type to be included in database

My government, ladies and gentlemen!
South Korea’s parliament passed a bill Tuesday banning the breeding and slaughter of dogs for consumption, ending the traditional yet controversial practice of eating dog meat after years of nationwide debate.

He's back to his playful self (yay!!!). He's running around, jumping, chasing stuff! Overall, he's just a lot more mobile. Also, he's gotten a lot more affectionate around me these past 4 days. Do you think he understands that by bringing him to the vet, I'm helping him feel better?

Vet said he needed shots to boost his nerves and if he doesn't respond well in a couple days he'll do an X-ray and decide on a further course of treatment. He's back to purring in my lap again. Hug your kitties extra tight for me tonight.

I think it's looking pretty good. Edit: My class is about to start so I'll try to post my setup when I get home. Thanks for the kind words guys!
Xiaomi has confirmed to Android Authority that its HyperOS phones will not receive updates if their bootloader is unlocked. Read on for more!

Seems like Xiaomi is heavily clamping down on bootloader unlocking in China. Global versions also have a new restriction: no updates without locked bootloader.

I was using LibReddit to check in once in a while, and it died today and Teddit instances are giving error 429 too, so yeah, no more Reddit from now on

Just checking, am I missing any Lemmy apps? My goal is to try them all. I'm mainly using Liftoff at the moment.
