  • He gives me heavy mouth breather vibes.

  • Can't wait to see this chart come July 1st and the days the follow!

  • When they default that high I almost always enter 0.

  • hahahah you see, that's why I would only enable it for select contacts. I can't trust everyone with that kind of power

  • NGL, this should be a thing you can enable for your contacts. Anyone not in your contacts defaults to something you set. I think it would be funny as hell

  • speak aMeRiCaN

  • That ultimately depends on what jurisdiction you're in and what laws apply. It varies wildly country to country.

  • you'll probably get banned from reddit before long lol, best of luck!

  • Up until 3rd party app devs announced they're converting their apps to Lemmy? Yes.

Now, absolutely the fuck not. Reddit is a cesspool compared to when I first joined in 2013. Lemmy feels a lot more like reddit did then. It's quaint and cozy here. Yes I'd like to see this place grow some more. But 1/10th the size of reddit would be plenty. Most reddit users don't contribute anything useful anyways so no loss there.

  • I'm exclusively using Lemmy and it's taken the place of boost on my home screen. I also exclusively open reddit in Google web cache and archive.org when I need a ressource that's within the years of reddit content. Fuck reddit and fuck spez.

  • Probably not the worst way to go all things considered.

  • Good thing they got a head start in their submarine.

  • I had the same issue getting registered. Had to fuck with it throughout the day before it finally went through. Makes me smile though. Lemmy is growing so fast it's struggling to keep up

  • I've been wanting to make the jump for awhile and I've used jellyfin as a secondary server on my library to test run it. I really enjoy it for a lot of reasons but need to properly figure out reverse proxy before I implement it as my main.

  • Honestly I'm quite alright with that. If we can get a good core user base on here it'll feel like reddit did earlier in it's life. Once the masses came and posts regularly had over 10k upvotes the content began feeling more and more soulless.

  • This is the reason I made my account on lemmy.world and not one of the smaller is I feel this one is more likely to exist long term. But on the flip side if too many of us go with the same one I feel things would be centralized enough that they would be by and large the dominant instance. Hopefully as this place grows we can come to some solution via discussion.

  • But android has sideloading since forever... Although I agree apple needs to change.

  • This was my go to reddit app and I would love to see it. I'd happily buy ad free boost for lemmy.

  • I hadn't even come across it yet but holy hell that's a scammer/malicious actors paradise.

  • This place is already doing what reddit did for me and Jerboa is very close to the 3rd party app I used. Fuck reddit and spez, hello Lemmy!
