  • Chicken sashimi is a delicacy in Japan, and so easy to prep at home! Just leave your chicken breast out until it assumes room temperature, slice into thin strips, and serve over rice or with seaweed!

  • Bro you wanna go hollow and guard the manslayer door with me

  • Oh, everybody can already see that. I'm a man in my 30s and I still wear my punk vest everywhere. My feelings on cops, Nazis, and fascists are made pretty clear on it, while anyone who recognizes basic anarchist emblems will see those too. It doesn't do a perfect 1:1 job of communicating my beliefs, but I'm more open and specific with what I believe than any coward in a red hat

  • "it was so weird, they all knew you there"

  • This is kinda where I was going in my reply.

I am not a Star Wars fan. I have a nostalgic fondness for the very first few movies and even then; I haven't watched any of them in ages and don't plan to. A Star Wars label on a piece of media, all things being equal, makes me less likely to interact with it these days.

  • Empire has never been beaten as a high point in the franchise and it can't be because SW is taken way too seriously now

  • Well, I guess my answer could change depending on you how define "best," but I think my answer has to be Dwarf Fortress. I've been playing it longer than some posters on here have been alive! The emergent narratives of your forts and your dorfs combined with the constant drip-feed of updates makes it endlessly replayable. The main game theme has been my last-call morning alarm basically since I had a cell phone that replaced an alarm clock. It's a game I come back to time and again that has yet to get old. If anything, it's getting too complex for my stupid ass lol

  • Out of curiosity what's their fine for regular public indecency, like, urinating in an alley? I'd imagine it's literally cheaper for a trans person there to piss on the side of city hall than it is a regular god damn restroom

    What an awful little shitville

  • And while I hate that, it isn't going to result in me buying any of said shit tier snack

  • I'm trying to break my long habit of lurking, I'd like to see the platform grow so I help where I can

  • Don't know where in world you are; I'm USA but my state actually likes funding public libraries. Sorry to hear yours are lacking like that, man : /

  • I'm just old enough to clearly remember pre-internet life and library use, so the coolest thing my library has in my opinion is the huge catalogue of books available at my fingertips through their app. No physical item to worry about means no risk of late fees either, it just returns itself if I don't before the rental is up.

There are, like, household tools and stuff available as well as a good catalogue of movies on disc. I avail myself of those now and again, but I constantly have a book or two borrowed. That'll always be my favorite thing my library has.

  • Huh, neat. Yeah, I'm American so there was no tradition or anything with my story, I was just buzzed at a show
