  • I listen to my vinyl of the Skyrim soundtrack on a very regular basis.
Runner up would be Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

  • There's one on the way to a beta (Artemis) but I just used the Firefox feature to place a webapp on my phone so I click that and it immediately opens in Firefox.

  • For me it simply came down to the fact that I prefer the layout, and it's also nice knowing I can block whole domains (looking at you, furry spammers). It also integrates with Mastodon if that's your thing (it's not my thing), and I have high hopes for the ability of Ernest (the founder and only dev, to my knowledge) to usher it in a good and healthy direction. I can see all content from Lemmy and interact with it though, so it really just comes down to personal preference.

  • Ass Effect. The whole plot is Miranda in that white jumpsuit.

  • I don't try to be productive necessarily. I carry my Kindle with me, and my work laptop is a gaming laptop so I've been playing a bit of Diablo IV in my downtime. I have my own office and it's a very small business so I pretty much do what I want when we're slow. This morning I read 49 pages of Thrawn #2 between project quotes.

  • No, because there are many other places you can go. Nobody is throwing you in jail.

  • I was mildly excited for it until I played the demo. Now I've got Friday night set aside to play it.

  • I have never found a good guide to set up Sonarr/Radarr that simplifies it enough for me to do it. I've had a plex server running on an ASUSTOR NAS for years but I'm afraid of causing havoc with it if I try to install those. Do you know a good guide?

  • My friend is one of those ex-employees and they owe him a lot of money.

  • However many it takes to beat them. I typically don't replay games, and I don't play into those insane multiplayer games that require hundreds if not thousands of hours. I beat one, I move on. The only exceptions are NHL and MLB, I play those on Friday nights with some beers to decompress from the week so I have a disproportionate amount of hours in those, but I also don't buy new ones every year; maybe every 4-5 years.

  • Yeah it's the kbin equivalent. On Lemmy you have Communities.

  • It got too big and too accessible. Productive conversation became harder to have as they'd get pushed down by low effort comments from people trying to earn internet points and do little else. That also led to echo chambers which leads people to react rather than discuss. That's not the whole reason but in my mind that's a big part of why it degraded so badly.

  • Column A would solve column B but I realize the latter is much harder to do lol. I have no problem with it existing, I just want to filter it out, but if it was all properly tagged NSFW then I suppose the issue would be solved.

  • I'm not sure about Chrome but the link posted above took me to the domain and let me block it from the sidebar (which is on the bottom of the page on mobile)

  • Ah thank you! I didn't know we could block domains. One look at that page confirms that a good deal of it was coming from there today.

  • I also like that it's at the bottom. It has led me to read more comments than I usually did on Reddit, which is just another subtle way kbin/lemmy helps drive engagement when compared to Reddit. I'm glad the choice is there via the enhancement scripts for those who disagree, though!

  • I'd go a step further and see if anyone here has recommendations for the best RSS readers. I've never used one, and I'm wary to take any of the ones offered in the Android play store that are going to shove ads in my face. I'd love a quick guide to set them up properly, too. I'm a luddite when it comes to this apparently because the last one I installed, I couldn't get it to grab any of the links.

EDIT: I installed Feedly and it was easy to set up. I don't need it to do anything but grab articles I'm interested in and it seems to do that just fine. I'd just like to be able to unfollow all news/politics subs on the fediverse and stick to articles only. Thanks for the input to everyone who replied.

  • I'm sure they'll power right through that grave concern.
