Is there a point to making an account on multiple Lemmy servers?
  • Each instance has certain instances linked or blocked. This means you might never see content from a different instance if it's not linked or if it's blocked.

you can view what instance is allowed by clicking on your local "instances"

I recommend making a general account and an edgy account for when you want to talk about controversial topics

  • do you like being in the lgbt+?
  • Because you deserve it more.

But we're not doing anything to help you. We're just rallying up and down the street with our rainbow banners and corporate sponsorships, not giving a flying fuck about the rest of the world's pride.

  • If my account was made in Beehaw, how can I access blocked Instances?

Such as the instances that beehaw filters out? I want my feed filled up with all sorts of diversity.

do you like being in the lgbt+?
  • If anything it reinforces my points. What has worldwide pride done to protect you and get you to a safe country? What have all those rainbow burgers done to help you? What about those social media posts silencing idiots?

    Nothing.

  • do you like being in the lgbt+?
  • Where are you from? In my country, we had a referendum on equality, likewise did other democratic countries, such as Ireland and Taiwan.

These countries already show that the Boomers are an inherent minority, and they lack the numbers and political power to change this.

  • do you like being in the lgbt+?
  • i don’t even think this is correct, but even if we ignore that and accept it to be true:

It's nice you don't think it's correct, but fortunately, it is.

i am pretty confident no group of heterosexuals in human history have ever been oppressed for any protracted period of time for being heterosexual.

True, but that isn't my point. My point is that I have abilities that straight people do not. That is not equality.

it is still not that weird and in many places and contexts socially normalized to discriminate against queer people, even where they have existing protected rights. this seems like a completely unobjectionable asymmetry given that fact. i would question anybody who thinks it is weird.

Absolutely, those are the places we need to focus pride on, not on the latest corporation logo, special rainbow burger or a tweet from a washed-up boomer.

  • do you like being in the lgbt+?
  • You're also making up a person with your "changing the laws" via the power of boomers tweets.

Personally, I don't care what happens in the US. It's a third-world country and will continue to remain as such.

  • How can I make my own communities?

Still trying to understand this stuff. I want to make a berserk community, how do I do this?

Quite confused at how this works

So how does this whole thing work exactly? I made an account here on beehaw, but then when I view other lemmy instances, I see some of the same posts that are here on beehaw.

For example, I commented on this thread: https://beehaw.org/comment/121048

And then I get a reply from this site instead, where I can't comment because I need to log in, but it doesn't allow me to? https://lemmy.ca/comment/190838

    Wildly confused.

    Let's talk about Berserk

Trigger and spoiler warning for everyone: Berserk is a dark fantasy manga containing many controversial images and themes, like extreme gore or detailed sexual assault.

But! It also has an incredible story, cast of characters and influences across the dark fantasy genre as a whole. Even if you're queasy with such morbid themes, you should still see if you can enjoy berserk.

Let's talk about Berserk, memes, things you like or dislike, Anything!

    Remember to spoiler like this:

    spoiler

Clicking the little exclamation sign will create a spoiler, simply type where the line shows up and be sure to preview to see if your spoiler works correctly.

Anything from before 2023 should be good to talk about with needing to mark your spoils.

    Little functionality: "language_not_allowed"

Whenever I try to comment on random threads, it pops up with this and then the whole page freezes, making me have to retype the beehaw URL to get back to the frontpage. Back doesn't do anything, nor clicking anything on the page when this occurs.
