Oh, how I wish Tim would make another album like Apart Together.

Would you mind elaborating on your experience? Why was it exciting ? What came through your mind at the time ?

I've seen a solar eclipse but I'm in elementary at the time and didn't care for it. Now I wonder if it must have been kinda terrifying the old human thought their God was mad.

What did you dislike about synfonium? I'm considering switching since I don't have a plex subscription anyway so I did not get to enjoy the sonic analysis featured etc.

I also do this. But I do not necessarily think it as a bad thing.

I do not need to finish the book in one sitting, it's fine to wander, I usually just just went on a tangent on a relevant topic though. Reading for an hour is fine, as is a 5 minute session.

Maybe immersing myself reading books just not that fun for me. But I can sit for hours studying music even without touching my instruments, just reading the chart and analysing the harmony and what not. I think reading like any other skill, needs training and I just haven't give it enough time.

Agree, I grew up with Playstation up until the ps3. I have never owned a Nintendo console my whole life and the only Mario games I've tried is the O.G back then, but it's clear to me that Nintendo put better effort into every bit of design of their IP release.

I know the Jazz scene would go nuts over a "Mario Kart Lick", and I never played Mario Kart even once.

The only thing stopping me from owning their console is the lack of regional pricing.

I thought there's an edge case somewhere but from your explanation I don't think I need transcoding for video. Not that I don't want it.

My NAS is old, like, i3 2100 old. So I just make sure the media can be played directly on my 2 client locally, so I don't know how much HW transcode improve the performance but if it's usable, that's a nice bonus. Maybe if I ever get a 4K display but that's a problem for future me.

Since you run both, I have a few questions if you don't mind.

I don't have a plex pass but, so the only feature I want is intro skipping and from what you mention I understand it needs tinkering. Acceptable for me.

My usage is pretty simple if I migrate to Jellyfin do I need to fuck around with my folder structures ? No special case just /movie/title | tv/title in my use-case with the usual arr stack for grabbing.

The client used currently is a desktop client on arch/windows and I don't need hardware transcoding. The server and libraries are on Truenas.

I don't need remote playback for movies/tvs but I have no idea how to replace Plexamp and if you have suggestions, feel free to mention it.

Finished a marathon of GoW and Ragnarok, I want more.

I planned to play Disgaea 7 or refantazio but I honestly just want more Kratos. Sindri ending is too much of a cliffhanger

Yeah, Linux user can/willing to read instructions that (the important part IMO) unfamiliar to them, that's like not what average user would do.

Most users know how to install something on Windows, they've used it since they were toddler and whether or not you think it's a better experience in Linux is irrelevant.

Most software they need in Windows has a giant download button on the respective site, double click the downloaded file and you're done.

99% of the time you can immediately start the program or there will be a shortcut on the desktop.

Also, gaming. Like it or not it is a casual workload, and it's not as straightforward on Linux.

Finished God of War (2018) and now starting Ragnarok.

I was skeptical at first since I played all the OG GoW titles including PSP back in the day, will I like this new Kratos ?

And boy (heh) what a ride. I knew the gameplay would be fun at least combat wise, but I didn't expect having someone to accompany Kratos would be this entertaining.

Though IMO 'evil' Atreus arc feels too short, he just saw his bad deed once and somehow because Brokk and Sindri made up he is also good now.

Overall it's a blast and I can't wait to see what they'd do in Ragnarok.
