  • they need to start rewording their questions. "what is youre stance on

    <topic he should know about>

    or are you incompetent?" then publish that he is a failure as a human until he gets to angry he loses his shit. you don't need to publish his BS, just publish the truth and say "Today is Monday and Mike Johnson is a Trump shill and a waste of human." it isn't libel if it's true.

  • honestly i don't give them that much credit. between religous and cultural based hate, the concept of "we are the good ones" means they would have to see themselves in a potential group that could be kicked out. they don't. they see the nuance of their social structure and it never dawns on them that Trump only sees their skin color.

  • i agree the need will be there but banning the ones that exist by coming up with good laws is the point.

    force them to verify all political claims. All ads need to have very apparent sources of funding. don't let legal entities funnel money to pay for anything. not difficult.

  • if a lot of people started voting by flipping a coin the fact a lot of people do it doesn't change that it's a dumb process.

    I am not saying social media isn't used. i am saying that isn't an excuse for saying "we didn't know we were shooting ourselves in the foot." Watch the debates, watch the press confrences, listen to him live whenever he speaks. Trump doesn't hide his hatred for minorities and foreigners. If you go on social media and are told different then you deserve what you get.

  • In short, they didn't "adopt" anything, they brought their own nascent bigotry with them.

    having interacted with some in these communities, living around them and having my kids go to school with them, your comment here is so on point. it is constantly a shock when you see bigotry pop up so casually and i think to myself those who want you out of this country are using the exact same language.

  • sounds like you are defending them. it wasn't as if Trump was being coy about it. He created a muslim ban. He said "They are eating the pets."

    All this stuff he said in public, live on TV. Using social media as a source of news just shows you are dumb.

  • with being a walled garden i have a feeling we will eventually see phones become genuinely free because you will not have an option to keep your data away from advertisers. AOSP is barely holding on to maintain a safe place for users. when all hardware is locked down we will be stuck.

  • The issue is two fold.

    First the scope of the project is very important. When I am working on a web app the most complicated project is still 90% boilerplate stuff. You write some RESTful code on some framework using CRUD and make a UI that draws based on data. No matter what you are making, lets be honest, it's not novel. This is why vibe coding can exist. Most of your unit tests can be derived from the types in your functions. Do a little bit of tracing through functions and AI can easily make your code less fragile.

    When you are working on anything more complicated making code better requires you to actually grok the business requirements. Edge cases aren't as simple. The reasons for doing things a specific way aren't so superficial. Especially when you start having to write optimizations the compilers don't do automatically.

    The second issue is learning matterial. The majority of the code we write is buggy. Not just in range testing but in solution to problems. There is a reason why we don't typically write once and never go back to our code.

    Now think about when you, as a human, go back over old code. The commit log and blame usually don't give a great picture of why the change was needed. Not unless the dev was really detailed in their documentation. And even then it requires domain knowledge and conceptualization that AI still can't do.

    When teaching humans to be be better at development we suck at it even when we can grok the language and the business needs. That is a hurdle we still need to cross with AI.
