I was reading and comparing the use of textual info in the book references and how he identifies with something.

The author considers himself transmasc but not entirely male.

And the book only mentions pronouns and such as well as his new name.

I use LineageOS4microG but as far as I can read, this will apply to Android itself and I am yet to see if LineageOS devs will avoid implementing the measure or what.

Is sad that PinePhone are inaccesible in a lot of places. Are you using xorg or wayland?

If you use xorg do you have xserver-xorg-video-nouveau?

do you have libdrm-nouveau2?

do you have libgl1-mesa-dri?

did you install firmware-nvidia-graphics? this is the firmware packages from NVIDIA to use it in Nouveau, should help you a lot.
