My fedora install is being kinda jank, if I end up reinstalling that might be what I'm trying next.

I don't think it's unreasonable to share, as long as you're able to adequately convey that you don't feel entitled to her time or attention because of it

Sick as fuck. I know a guy who has a similar styled jacket but with dragons embroidered in the mesh pannels, but I like this even better

Just looked it up (it's like $70 rn on the bezos site for anyone curious) and was surprised to see bad reviews- have you had any issues with it not being able to handle mp3s on the SD card, or the SD card not working properly?

Edit: wait... There are two seperate listings, one with 5 good reviews, but the other listing has more reviews but they aren't great... And some of the prices are cheaper for certain colors on the newer listings with less reviews... Weird.

I like the mineral oil idea! It'll help protect the wood while keeping the pretty light color. I feel like rich dark wood colors get all the love, but the creamy pale wood colors are really beautiful too and it's nice to see them get some love!

One could also use any number of other non-staining finishes, but mineral oil keeps it simple

The nature of this choice is that she will be greatly disadvantaged for doing the right thing, and if she doesn't get elected, we likely get someone far worse instead.

I think this is a fair argument. I'm not sure if I see "being mean to them" as necessarily playing out this way, or being the best way to achieve that end (one can have no respect without being insulted/verbally attacked. Creating a stronger "us vs them" has explicit risks to our communities), but I can see the point you're making

There are lots of ways in which modified GNOME is an excellent experience 😅

Its good to acknowledge that lack of customization is a central tradeoff of its design, but if they don't know whether what they need is possible, it's entirely valid for them to ask. Telling them not to do what they need and use something else seems unlikely to be a helpful contribution to the discussion.

For all they know there's an easy way to do exactly what they need, or a well maintained extension that will fill their usecase perfectly. From other replies it seems like they may have already gotten a really useful answer
