  • The epitome of limousine liberal.

Completely owned by Big tech and VC.

Everything he's doing now is for his presidential run, but that doesn't mean there's no value to any of it.

At this point, we'll take what I can get, and he knows that.

  • The weighted order of my personal levels of disapproval for each those issues may vary slightly from yours, but yes, I agree lol.

I'm not sure it's even been greenlit for season 2, but I do hope it gets renewed.

  • Sounds like someone purchased, or otherwise gained access to, T-Mobile's targeted customer advertising and marketing profile data.

Or, the kind of information that data harvesting applications gather, and then sell to data brokers.

I wonder if they have a grudge against T-Mobile, this is an early stage of a larger plan, or if it's just for the lulz?

  • I understand that the major storylines were too big to be wrapped up in an episode. But there wasn't a single subplot that they finished either, just baffling.

And given the choice to leave everything still open, I'm even more perplexed as to why they decided to expedite and amplify one of the character's "abilities".

That particular decision reminded me of Game of Thrones S08: I have no problem with where they ended up, but a huge problem with how they got there.

I don't want to say anything else to avoid spoiling it for others, but I'm sure you know who and what I'm talking about.

  • Alien Earth.

Not gonna lie, it started out strong, but completely flopped its landing on the season finale.

However, it was obviously written to be a multi-season show.

The world building, cinematography, set design, and acting, were all phenomenal.

This show does deserve much of its criticism, but it's still worth the watch, especially if you like science fiction.

  • For better, or worse, American gun culture is rooted in legal guns, and gun laws.

Now those guns may end up being trafficked or sold illegally, but that's not what the gun culture centered around.

The comment I was responding to was clearly a commentary on Texas gun culture, which is part of American gun culture, and again, that's based around legal firearms, and gun laws.

Armored technicals with 50 cal M2 Brownings, are not tax stampable for civilian use, so definitely not a part of American, or Texan, gun culture.

  • I think in this scenario OOP is better off just helping his friend get Linux set up, as requested.

But, by and large, I agree with your stance on Mac computers.

They typically just work, the build quality is usually phenomenal, and most importantly, no Microsoft.

I can't imagine the levels of pain I would be in if I had to provide tech support for my elderly parents Microsoft Windows experience. Thank God they use all Apple products.
