What are some game genres / styles you like that aren't being made anymore, or are being mde but not very often?
  • I assume you've played or heard of Yooka-Laylee. There's also Clive n Wrench. Neither of those are great though.

I haven't heard of Koa before, but it looks interesting. I'll have to check it out.

But I really want a new Banjo game, however I doubt that ever happens at this point. I recently started working on my own Banjo clone in the Godot game engine because I don't see anyone making the kind of game I'm looking for.

  • Neopets is promising a ‘new era’ with an improved website and fixed Flash games
  • I'm not sure where the person you replied to got their information.

Neopets currently has 14 games on their Games page.

In their Medium post, they say they have plans to integrate Ruffle to make "more than 50 games" playable starting on July 25th. They also "hope to convert many of the most beloved games to HTML5", but they've also been saying that for years.

  • Is anyone else beginning to mourn reddit?
  • Same exact situation here. Been on reddit since digg v4 happened. Reddit was far from perfect, but for the most part I enjoyed my time there. If this is the end of reddit, then so be it. Lemmy/Beehaw looks like it can grow into a good replacement.

  • Here we go, the AMA with /u/spez is live
  • You didn't expect him to have a shovel.

  • Anybody here?
  • Looks like /r/sc is going dark until reddit admins back down, which after today looks like never.

  • what would Reddit need to do to get you to go back
  • Today's AMA was something else. I honestly don't know how a founder of reddit doesn't understand reddit users.

I really like/liked reddit. I've been on it since digg v4 happened. Rif dies, I'm done using reddit on my phone. I'm not installing their app. If old dies, then I'm completely done with reddit. I'm not using new. Chances are I'll use reddit less and less anyway though.

  • They need to. This AMA is just telling people that reddit is following through with their changes and telling people to deal with it.

  • He's selling and he's going to point his investors to his AMA comments.

  • Wow. Spez is doubling down on attacking the Apollo dev. You'd think spez was new to reddit with the way he's commenting.

  • Seriously, what's up with big sites literally dying as we speak?
  • I'm with you on that last paragraph. I've dropped all my streaming apps for YouTube and Twitch at this point. I just genuinely like the feel of smaller YouTubers. I follow some that have millions of subscribers, but the ones I enjoy the most are small time creators. One of my favorites has a few thousand subscribers right now, and I get excited every time they upload a new video.
