  • His scene with Worf where he reveals that he's Alexander from the future is one if the greatest scenes in ALL Trek.

  • Strips cut through forested areas like this are generally called fire breaks. I don't know if there's a more specific term for those beneath power lines.

  • However, it is written into our laws that a judge may deviate from this norm if they feel it more suitable.

    Could you elaborate?

  • The issue would be that it's an unusual punishment. Even the judge said so.

  • The judge is a woman.

And why be upset at the judge anyway? She didn't create this law.

  • From the headline I was expecting some sort of actual hacking attack. But this seems closer to review bombing.

  • The emails also underscore the increasing breakdown in trust with a growing number of defense lawyers who have regarded prosecutors’ tactics – including Willis assuming she will win – as inappropriately aggressive and presumptuous given the case remains months from a potential verdict.

I'm not sure what they were expecting from her. I would expect no less from a prosecutor.

  • "I swore on the Bible three times. You can't explain that!"

  • This should be expanded through eminent domain power to include all drugs, not just those developed with federal funds.

  • “There are no facts pled which demonstrate that Ms. Cox is at any more of a risk, let alone life-threatening, than the countless women who give birth every day with similar medical histories,” the state wrote

Wow. They really don't get it, do they?

  • Usually you can, though the setting might be listed under something like "show diagnostic during boot".

  • As its name suggests, LogoFAIL involves logos, specifically those of the hardware seller that are displayed on the device screen early in the boot process, while the UEFI is still running. Image parsers in UEFIs from all three major IBVs are riddled with roughly a dozen critical vulnerabilities that have gone unnoticed until now. By replacing the legitimate logo images with identical-looking ones that have been specially crafted to exploit these bugs, LogoFAIL makes it possible to execute malicious code at the most sensitive stage of the boot process, which is known as DXE, short for Driver Execution Environment.

So, does disabling the boot logo prevent the attack, or would it only make the attack obvious?

  • And I just lost all respect for him, along with any desire to ever see him on screen ever again.

  • Chemically assisted vision quest.
