When everything will be appealed to the supreme court anyway, why don’t we just have the justices approve all federal, state, and local laws as they’re passed. This is still only a partial farce, we need completion.

Just go to communities and select all… go shopping!

As an american in the PNW, I strongly support Texit. With the immigration nightmares we have in the south, a large southern boarder state that we could close our boarders to would greatly help. Right now, federal law allows them to ship immigrants around the country, but an international boarder would solve that problem.

Further, to avoid tarrifs, most mexican shipping would reroute to california, arizona, and new mexico. Moving the hubs of shipping closer to my part of the country would reduce costs.

I would love to see my country, once indispensable in world peace, suddenly a “relevant but not in charge” participant. The US could use a big dose of humility.

A lot of good local articles on the topic, including radio pieces following cops in bad parts of town. A major failing of the program is that it was difficult to seek help even if you wanted to, with sometimes 1 hr phone wait times to set a time to wait an hour to talk to someone. The intent - to funnel users into treatment - wasn’t met.

A better method (in my opinion) would be a “treatment or jail” system, which would put people in a 6-week contained treatment system pre built with capacity to handle the load… Oregon may be liberal, but that would never fly, and the republicans would rather walk out and shut down the state house than allow it.

But we tried. Back ti letting everything fall apart until the state collapses.

I teach in an electrical apprenticeship and I don’t find that, students are eager to know more. What I do find is that my students are undereducated in logic and critical thinking skills. I get a lot of “can you just make me a checklist I can follow.”
