This is, of course, a work in progress, but I'm happy to at least have a solution, even if it might not ultimately be the solution. I'm trying to find a side-printed keycap set that comes with an extra B somehow so I can relegate the QWERTY layout to the side. That way, I can use uncut stickers on top for the Dvorak layout instead of having ugly cut stickers on the edge.
Okay okay, I kind of had a breakthrough when I figured out I could use KeyChron keycaps to ensure that I had the right sizes for the space bars. Plus I need an extra B anyway and couldn't find sets like that otherwise. This forced me into keycaps with letters on top, but the second breakthrough was finding replacement stickers for Mac keyboards. Those have small letters so I'll cut them down and apply them to the side of each key for Dvorak reference.
Okay, I'll take a look at those! I've found a new websites with lots of listings, but none with any decent filtering mechanics beyond general categories.
Yeah, if it's on a Kbin instance they're called magazines, not communities. Honestly I find Kbin weird because it tries to mix two different organization styles, but whatever. So, for that user it uses an m even though it's originally a Lemmy instance.
They can hit the button, but Beehaw won't register the downvote. In fact, as best I can tell it changes them into upvotes. I use Jeroba, so when I'm looking at Beehaw I still see the downvote button, but when I try to use it, I get error messages.
Does Kbin not label posts by what instance they come from? Jeroba (Lemmy Android app) will tell me which instance the post is from in the listing and I believe they're planning to extend that to accounts.
It's a tagging issue. Essentially people are used to not having to tag posts in NSFW subreddits because they're set to NSFW by default. That function doesn't yet exist in Lemmy, so people are forgetting.
The directions from the Legislature are brief but still complex. “The designs must accurately and respectfully reflect Minnesota’s shared history, resources and diverse cultural communities,” the law says. “Symbols, emblems, or likenesses that represent only a single community or person, regardless of whether real or stylized, may not be included in a design.”
Oof. This is going to be tough to meet all those criteria without either going extremely generic or ending up with another complex flag.
The thing the modern movies always get wrong about Superman is that he's not supposed to be interesting as a superhero, he's supposed to be interesting as an outsider trying to fit in.
Of course in reality the farmers would lead a huge lobbying campaign specifically screaming about increasing meat prices and so the measure is never going to happen. Oh well.
I would honestly just outlaw antibiotics for use in livestock and similarly ban imported meat that used antibiotics. Farmers would be forced to change their methods to reduce the disease risk which would result in more humane practices and higher meat prices, both of which I would consider a good thing in the industrialized world.
No antibiotic use? No antibiotic resistance.
Would it be a massive shift for the industry? Absolutely. You'd have to phase it in over a decade or so, but it would still be a positive change.
