Human Cases of Bird Flu Confirmed to Be Occurring Undetected in The US
  • I think it might have been trying to say that it has been detected that it has been undetected. Which is to say that we are now aware that up until now it was here without us knowing that it was here, not that we have both detected and undetected it in a sort of quantum bird flu detection sort of way.

  • Some thought Hollywood might use AI to replace human workers. It seems the opposite is happening, individuals using AI are about to replace much of Hollywood's output.
  • We nearly all won with dot.com, everyones lives got better. Sure, some people won harder than others, but this was the case with steel, automobiles, agriculture and everything else. We simply can't all be the ones who do the best at using a new technology to profit off of.

  • You're gunna have a very bad time until you quit hoping that ai goes away. Ai is a constantly developing field that is currently in a massive surge. It's more likely that the internet goes away than it is that ai goes away.

  • What a weird thing to say
  • You are preaching to the choir. All this madness goes away when people quit convincing their children that Israel is some magical land that a space daddy wants everyone to fight over to they get special toys after they die. You want this to end, then start spreading the fact that it is all BS and magic land isn't actually a thing.

  • What a weird thing to say
  • Me being willing to look at the entire context is not a bad thing. Sorry if it doesn't line up with the headlines you were told to memorize.

  • What a weird thing to say
  • It's so interesting how the most condescending people always see facts as condescending. It really just is the case that you can be wrong. As you get older and learn to not mindlessly repeat headlines you will see just how absurd you used to be.

  • What a weird thing to say
  • You're going to have your mind blown when you find out that Islam came out of judism. There was a time when there were many jews and literally not a single Muslim on the planet. Christianity and Islam are groups of x-jews that murdered, raped and destroyed anything in their path. They pushed jews out of the land. I know this is all impossible to you because in your made-up world, nothing existed before the 1940s. That's just what happens when you are so against learning, it puts you into wacky made uo worlds that make no sense. The thing you hate is the thing you defend, you just can't be bothered to look at things from a deformed and chopped up world view. It makes sense, complexity takes effort.

  • What a weird thing to say
  • I'm just willing to look at history beyond some arbitrary point to try to win an argument. You are absolutely correct, if you ignore the parts of the past that don't agree with your pre-conceived notions, then you are right. Unfortunately for you, history doesn't care about where you choose to make arbitrary lines.

  • What a weird thing to say
  • This doesn't say anything about Islam, way to wiggle in a non-related fact though.

  • The AI Bubble may be about to burst. LLMs have reached the point of diminishing returns, and there's no sign of scaling leading to independent reasoning, needed for the first steps to AGI.
  • You've completely misunderstood as others have pointed out to you. It's great that you want to learn about this stuff, but you have a long ways to go before you are at a point to talk authoritatively about it. The best thing for you to do now is to set aside all your preconceived notions and start from the beginning with an open mind. There is no point in talking authoritatively before you spend some time learning.

  • It's remarkable that anyone would think sam said that or thought that. It's like there is a whole other universe where 3rd and 4th hand sources are treated like 1st hand.

  • You caught me, I'm an evil bot that has been programmed to evilly trick humans into doing things that will make them money. Over 99.999% of people who have bought bitcoin and held onto it are profitable. Ooooooo scary!!

  • Lots of people spend currencies that go up in value. Believe it or not, people sometimes want stuff now instead of the possibility of stuff later.

  • The people who use bitcoin think in Satoshi now. There are many wallets and exchanges that allow you to denominated in sotishis. mBTC is another common denomination that people use and think in.

It is true that bitcoin is starting out volatile, but it is still so early when you consider how long major currencies usually last. Things should settle down more and more as it becomes a larger and larger percentage of the economy. I bet gold probably started out pretty volatile, considering some people knew to value it and others didn't.
