  • Yeah, if it's truly just an attempt to not admit your bigoted beliefs, then it's a fair callout. But there are also cases where the insulting bigoted comment joke is supposed to make fun of the people who actually hold those beliefs, and those are fair game.

  • Isn't the point of this meme that the elder is always telling the truth, but it's so alien to the youth that they don't believe it? Like, "back in my day, to call someone on the telephone you had to spin a dial, wait for it to return, and do this for each digit of a 5-digit number".

This is a misuse of the template, that seems to imply Trump is right.

Edit: After conducting some research quickly glancing at the Know Your Meme entry of this, it seems that the template has mixed usage. Including "a no longer popular opinion stated by the elder", and just straight up dismissing rambling of an elder. But vast majority of the examples still lean into my original setup.

  • Again, thank you for the answer. And thank you for mimicking my rather useless emphasis.

  • I pay ₴150 (Ukrainian hryvnia) for a family plan of 6, which is currently roughly $3.60 (after the currency tanked due to war). hide the pain dab

  • The first electronic game Nintendo released was Color TV-Game 6:

Then Game & Watch, and eventually Famicom, a.k.a. NES in the West.

  • Thanks! I was under the impression that The Doctor is not with us anymore, but I'm glad I was wrong.

  • I guessed that from context and was just making fun of it. Writing it that way is definitely confusing and shouldn’t be done. "mm" is internationally recognized as "millimeters". In financial papers, sometimes, Roman numerals "MM" are used to indicate millions, but then it should strictly be capitalized. In my opinion, for general use, number followed by a single "m" conveys the idea best ($40m), and followed by "k" for thousand ($40k). Use capitals for more formal settings ($40M and $40K).

  • 40 Zennies*.

  • 40 millimeter dollars?

  • Haven't played 6, but at this point I expect them to add a quick ending scenario in every sequel.

  • FC5 also has the option to finish the game in a couple of minutes if you do what the antagonist asks. Don't remember what exactly it was, leave with your team, I believe.
