That's a good reason to alphabetize by artist (chronological by release).
Here are a few to get things started:
Don Henley's The Boys of Summer as an 80s synth tune
Bossa nova version of Crowded House's Don't Dream It's Over
Reggae-ish version of Aretha Franklin's Respect
A capella men's ensemble version of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance
EDIT: This has been great, everyone. Thanks to everyone for all the terrific links and for introducing me to a number of artists I wouldn't have heard of otherwise. Seriously, the online rabbit-holes have been thoroughly enjoyable--even it I stayed up a bit too late a number of times.
Worth it.
Something about this put a big goofy grin on my face. Thank you!
P.S. Adding this to my "Unconventional Covers" playlist.
Yep... narrowing in on the culprit (lygus bug aka western tarnished plant bug). Tracked down a local source of castile soap in case they start pissin' me off.
Hello all. I know next to nothing about gardening, but that's still more than the person I live with, so that means the gardening is my department (fine with me, really).
Saw a number of these bugs on some sedum recently. Any idea what it is? None of the leaves appear eaten or otherwise damaged.
Do I need to take action? or shall I just leave them be?
P.S. I'm on the Canadian prairies, btw.
I'm also a recent transplant. I too find the (current) lack of activity in certain niche areas disappointing, but I'm hoping that's temporary. I hope discussions of some of those topics can survive the inevitable fragmentation among instances.
On the other hand, I've installed Jerboa on my phone, and it's working very well. Now I've just got to get busy participating in those niche communities--could be tricky, 'coz the ones I often liked best were the ones I knew the least about. I enjoyed learning from people who already knew the ropes.
How would one mute the word Reddit? I took a look at the options in settings but didn't find anything that appeared relevant to me. What did I miss?
I can't look away. I've tried, but I just can't...
There are still a few things here and there to remind you it's an alpha, but it's already surprisingly polished and functional. This Community looks like a really good resource too.
RIF had pride of place on the home screen, too.
Thanks for all the hard work on this app. I'm enjoying it a lot already.

Just did that to add Beehaw.
Quite beautiful. I managed the hike pretty well, and I'm by no means a triathlete or anything.
Thank you! It's in the high desert part of Oregon too, which still looks pretty "wild west" lots of other places.
I'm really thrilled to see it here as well.
...and Moraine Lake. Don't forget Moraine Lake!
A picture I took on vacation some years ago (kind of a earthporn/cloudporn hybrid)
Now there's three!
Trying it out now! I'm a Mint user these days (more of a hobbyist, really), so this is like going straight to the source.
Firewatch. It gave me a sense of what a "holo-novel" from Star Trek might be like one day.
