I've noticed it quite a lot actually, for posts tagged as "meta", "oc", "discussion", "rant", etc. the most useful I've seen is in !comics@lemmy.world, because people mark the posts with the comic creator.
I've heard he gives an actual edit along with one of these joke edits. I'm not too sure though

I don't understand why many desktop environments don't have a confirmation when you click one of those. Only ones I know that do it are GNOME and KDE

Hey, I've been working on a few changes to photon that make it a lot faster to open posts and return, and as a result of these changes I can also make infinite scroll work. If you go to this link, Vercel will have commented on the post with a preview link. Those are basically the beta links.

I was concerned about user privacy when I made this decision, as it would automatically fetch from imgur whether you wanted to watch the video or not.

This is an issue with Sveltekit 's client router. When you press back, instead of having the browser handle it (which will likely use back cache to instantly return), it loads the post feed again, which means the posts in there might have changed since. Especially if you're browsing New.
