  • I wasn’t saying they like gay people. It’s just like when racism became more taboo, they became less overt with their racist actions. Homosexuality is more mainstream with the population so attacking it like they attack trans people doesn’t go over as well as it did in the 80s and 90s. The right always finds an other to push their base to hate. Trans rights mainstreaming is much newer in popular culture than gay rights.

  • Well, they have almost limitless billionaire foundation money to manipulate the population. Billionaires control most media and push the conversation right across the spectrum. They control many state governments, the house, and the supreme court. They have right wing and anti-US foreign governments aiding their movement for their own interests. They definitely have the right infrastructure and conditions in place to make this happen sadly.

  • That was tea party era which is the precursor to MAGA. It all came from billionaire financed foundations funded by the likes of the Koch network. Recommend reading “Dark Money” by Jane Mayer for a detailed account of the how this whole rise of the right was orchestrated.

  • Israel was doing bad shit to Palestine for decades. How many times did you so see Pro Palestine posts in mass before, almost never. Sure it’s worse, but if “leftists” cared so much, why did this huge outcry wait till it’s at it’s absolute worst? Seems real convenient it’s around an election where fascist states known for using troll farms have a vested interest in a Biden loss. Especially when the only candidate who has any chance of making a pro-Palestine compromise is in danger of losing. No one believes Trump will compromise at all and Biden is literally brokering a compromise now. What drives the myriad “true leftists” to prove their point now, at the least opportune possible time? Seems like they have ulterior motives and they’re just hiding behind your claims of leftism.

  • When they do, ticket re-sellers buy them all up and jack up the prices anyway. The government needs to make ticket resellers illegal like scalping. Live Nation will fight that because it guarantees them sold out shows often.

  • Money existed before capitalism. Capitalism started in the 1700s. Money far predates capitalism. Plus, my comment is that capitalism must be regulated by outside regulators like governments. Conservatives have pushed deregulation forever and it’s made things worse. Capitalism worked far better in the heavy regulation days after WW2.

  • I live in a similar red area and democrats need to come back here for the local change to happen. More than half of local seats only have a Republican option. There are almost as many Libertarians running as democrats. The democrats gave up on way too many rural areas.

  • I often think they are just troll farm people shilling to try to get Trump in power because I can’t see how any American can see the discourse in this country and think leftists are the majority. I think lots of people find many individual left wing policies popular, but will those people identify and vote for true leftist candidates? Bernie was the farthest left candidate I’ve seen in my 40+ years and we couldn’t even get him to win a primary (I know the establishment pushed against him, but had he had a vast majority of votes and not slim margins of victory, they couldn’t have pulled that off). If they are real people, I can’t tell if these commenters live on campuses where it’s that heavily leftist or what America they seem to be living in.
